Probably have to sell their stadium to buy him.
Lol. I'm just thinking is there any other transfer in history which has had this much effect in their first season, goals wise.

And how much would his value have gone up in 12 months?

Surely he has to be a £150 million player now.

Wish Jose got more praise for what he did against liverpool. The only manager this season to render Mo Salah useless in a whole match.
This. he had done his homework. he made Young tightly mark him at Old Trafford. Did not give him an inch. If Bayern get to the final, they will do the same.

Madrid can't afford him. Isco + Asensio + £100m will do.
Liverpool should turn down ANY amount. This lad is a potential catalyst to get Liverpool challenging on all fronts. Isco, Asensio, and £100m isn't going to replace that.

You just know Perez will try though. He can't help himself when a new "it factor" player comes on the scene.

Jose got enough credit for it, but it was just one game. And not the one that would see Jose into the quarter finals of the CL or anything.

Salah is not going no where, not for another 2/3 years anyway (providing we don’t win anything) I’m confident of that. Madrid can feck right off. Sick of them and Barca buying toys whenever they feel lonely.

Is he a one season wonder?

Does he have the talent for consistency across multiple seasons?
He's been on an upwards trajectory since leaving Chelsea for Fiorentina. He hasn't just burst on the scene out of nowhere. He probably won't be in Ballon d'Or contention next season like he is now but that won't make him a one season wonder there's no reason he still can't be great and hit the 20 goal mark.

Quality. One man team.
It's first time in champions league that 3 players of a same team have scored 8 or more goals each. Real Madrid is bigger one man team than Liverpool.

If this guy does not win ballon d’or, that achievement should be seen as a joke. Ronaldo is Salah only true competition and I believe what Salah has done has been much more productive when you account the team they are both in and the level of competition and fixture they face. Give the ballon d’or to an African player fifa. Salah has my vote and I will write his name down in my imaginary ballot.

They should ask for Neymar+ money. They are around the same age, and Neymar has never ever had a season near as good as this.
Yes he has. He’s had at least three seasons where he was nearly as good as this statistically, at a younger age too.

This takes nothing away from Salah’s brilliance by the way, and yes, in the most literal sense this year he’s been putting out better statistics than Neymar ever did.

Where does the idea that Madrid want to sell Isco come from? I've seen him pick teams apart in a way that I've seen very few midfielders do. He's simply superb. I think the notion that they want to sell him is dreamed up by bored journalists.

Was fecking ridiculous tonight. Just looked dangerous every time he was near the ball - fast, skillful, incisive, clever - got the whole package.

Coutinho was £150m and he's nowhere near as good as Salah is now. I'd say you'd be talking £200m minimum for him. Annoyingly.

Messi has the same stats as Ronaldo and Salah, but has won the domestic double. Neither Ron or Salah have won anything with their teams yet. If Bayern win the CL then Messi deserves the Ballon D’or.

Depends what happens at the WC also.

An absolutely great player... However his biggest asset seems to be that every opposition team look at him and see Nathaniel Clyne.

Every time I watch him the opposition treat him like a mediocre full back instead of one the two most potent attackers in the world right now. The amount of space he's given in almost every game is astounding. It isn't even giving him an extra yard as they believe he's very quick or a great dribbler... Whenever I see him it's genuinely leaving a 10 yard radius around him as if he's radioactive.

Surely at this level defenders and managers are watching lengthy videos of him and building tactics around the fact that he's by far their biggest attacking threat. Surely they saw Mourinho's tactics and thought "maybe we'll give that a go", but no.
He does wonder around the pitch a lot.

Unfortunately we don’t have any match going Liverpool fans on the forum to verify his movement because a match going pool fan would never sign up to a Man Utd forum.

It's a shame we are not in the business end of things at the CL. If we had shut down Salah like that in a CL game then I'm sure he would've got more recognition. The CL is the biggest stage and that's where you earn your money not a one off PL game. Nobody cares about what happened in 1 PL game. He has no-one to blame but himself though. We had every possibility to beat Sevilla but simply fecked up over 180 minutes.

I obviously hate to ask...but is his season this year better than Ronnie's best with us? I view that year as the best single season of any player in England in the premier league era (partly as we didn't get tv for Cantona's best).

It's close, especially due to Salah's productivity, but I think Ronaldo was more of a complete player that season.

I'd say no but he's been on that level. I think that Ronaldo was coming up against better teams and while he was playing in a better one it was more of a balanced side with other quality to call upon and just his overall play in general was all-time great level. Salah has been flawless though can't deny that.

This give the ball to Salah formation is working a treat. He goes off and the nearly concede 3. Klopp has poor tactical awareness or adjustments which is why he struggles to keep leads and any time he gets near a final.
Not necessarily Klopp but Lovren. When you have a time bomb like him it's difficult to defend a lead. I can't wait for Liverpool to replace him in the summer

If Coutiniho is worth 150 mil, Salah is worth 300 mil.

Third best? He is currently the best player in the world ( this season)
Hard to put him ahead of Messi who is about to win La Liga basically on his own, but definitely ahead of Neymar and De Bruyne, which says alot, given that both of them are on the form of their life (or at least Neymar was before the injury)

We have to see what C.Ronaldo will do tomorrow and in the next game and if Madrid will win the competition but Salah is for sure a very strong candidate to break the duopoly.

If they end up trophyless do you think his name should be in the conversation still?
Thing is Ballon D'or depends more on trophies than performances. Performance wise I would say Salah deserves it. If Liverpool or Madrid win CL then Salah or Ronaldo get it respectively. If none of them win it then Messi gets it due to winning La Liga (I think undefeated) and Copa Del Rey. World cup won't be kind to all 3 of them.

Jumped ahead of Neymar but Messi still untouchable despite being awful in CL.

Messi and Cris are like boxers who never lose on scorecards, they need to be KO’d. Meaning Salah needs to win WC while riding a camel doing back flips

He gives a down to earth vibe which elevates him in class ahead of Neymar and co. Pains to say but Liverpool have a gem

Ronaldo vs. Salah in the CL final for the title and the Ballon. Madrid win, Ronaldo wins the Ballon, Madrid buy Salah in the summer. Happy ending.

Or the Bayern player who would be involved in that amazing perf that is eliminate the Real ? Plus they will make the triple, normally. Plus will win the WC with Germany or Spain. So Thiago Alcantara or Muller perhaps

Yes he has. He’s had at least three seasons where he was nearly as good as this statistically, at a younger age too.

This takes nothing away from Salah’s brilliance by the way, and yes, in the most literal sense this year he’s been putting out better statistics than Neymar ever did.
Well I would say that At the most, he had 2 seasons where he was close than Salah's actual stats. And beyond the stats, he was less influencial and crucial for his team during his first and last seasons. Plus, he had the opportunity to go in one of the best team of Europe, playing with the best player and the best n9 at that time. They are really not and still not starting with the same basis. But I think that both are definitely comparable.

And anyway, Hazard probably also did better seasons when he was younger. Yem, Ney is precocious but without the longevitiy, how much does it matter if the man does his best season at 21 ou 31 as long as the stats are the same ?

Anyway seems that performances are the main thing for the BO, in particular in the CL, i would say that he can definitely settle in top 3 with Messi and CR if he goes to final. Then for the top1, he definitely need the CL. As I don't think Portugal or Argentina should make it to the final and I don't really buy the Neymar's big comeback because if his lack of competition, I will bet that Salah win it if he win the LDC.
