Found it. He had two assists in a 4:0 win v Palace.
Wow that was quick. To be fair I got pelters for that thread. Ah well. I also started Herrera vs Kante. I think I should just stop comparing players. Doesn't turn out well. Although, Herrera legitemly was good that year.

I don't believe it's an outrageous claim. Lukaku had the better season this year but Martial imo would've scored more than him if he'd been given those minutes.

Outrageous? Definitely not. But very much a different style of striker

Hope it doesn't go to penalties. That Caballero fella is a monster.

Would prefer Martial to lead the line
    Me too.

People saying Martial is a better striker than Lukaku? They are joking, right?
    Nobody has said that.
I say that. What is so outrageous about it? You know Martial was a striker before Jose came ? And he had a better season as a "striker" and scored more in his first season in England in a much worse team than Lukaku did this year. It's not like people comparing Martial to Ruud van Nistelrooy in his prime. It's got nothing to do with being a fan boy of Martial too. Lukaku didn't show anything special this season to make these comparisons look absurd. So please stop with this Martial FC nonsense.

Video of Rio in the dressing room

No boots for Lukaku but two pairs each for Alexis and Martial.

Courtois is said to be starting.
Ah good. As daft as that sounds. Unless Conte does a van Gaal.

Hmm, is Rio talking about drinking caffeine before the game? A bit strange.

Martial scored 17 that season, Lukaku has scored 27 this.

He did play quite a bit as a LW in his first season here.

He only scored 30 goals in a team that stuggled to be a consistent attacking threat for large parts of the season. It's all well and good showing support to a United player, it's what we do as fans of the club, but why does it have to be at the expense of another United player? This is what brings the fanboy stuff to light.

Its a moot point; comparing Lukaku and Martial in a 9 role. Completely different players, who both play different positions and who had their best seasons under two completely different managers.

I mean it's just as likely that Lukaku wouldn't be starting under van Gaal, same as Martial losing his place in Jose's 11.

I have suspected for some time that I am far to old for these boards. In my day supporting the team was the most important feature no matter who was picked. After all we had faith in the managers ability. These days the player seems to be more important than the club and its simply down to who we rate......Lord knows what todays generation would have thought of Alf Ramseys decision to omit Jimmy Greaves.

I'll miss seeing Fergie in the stands getting all excited during the game. Hopefully, he will be back in the stands at the start of next season.

Why? I haven't seen anything from Martial, under Jose, to warrant a place. Mind you, I haven't really seen much from Rashford either.

Pity we did not get 5-6 seasons earlier , he would have been immense for us.
We were heavily linked with him 10 years before he signed. What could have been. Scholes and BFS in midfield.

Romelu Lukaku set to start on the bench for Man United against Chelsea
Jose Mourinho reportedly lined-up with a new-look forward line during training ahead of this evening's kick-off

ROMELU LUKAKU is set to start on the bench for Manchester United against Chelsea in today's FA Cup final.

Jose Mourinho lined-up with a new-look forward line during training ahead of this evening's kick-off.

Lukaku, 25, has been struggling with an injury picked up against Arsenal last month and has been receiving treatment in Belgium.

However, it would appear he is still not fit enough to start the clash at Wembley - with Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial vying for a starting berth.

The Sun think Lukaku is not going to make it.

Though we did have Carrick and Ando was only signed and we went for that wanker Hargreaves. But I remember getting excited when Toby was saying he kept telling Bastian to join United.

Yeah i stand corrected; must be confused about something in checking stats but the point still stands. Let me say "I prefer Martial to Lukaku as a CF and it's not a bizarre claim at all."
Good. Big difference. I was going to point you out on that stat. We can argue all day long about preferences and that's fair enough because, like food, it all depends on your taste bud, but Romelu has all the stats to back up an argument for him as the superior striker. He has been banging in the goals consistently since he was 16. And i think his contributions to our team this season, has been underated.
