He is an overrated, cheating little scum, I can't wait for the day when I see the back of this pathetic little shit. He did shit all yesterday, except throwing himself to the ground even before Jones ever touched him. Not to mention he rolles around for every little touch, like he's been shot. For all the supposed talent, all he does is run fast with the ball and try to get other people carded by constant simulation.

I actually thought he was poor besides the penalty. He had a lot of chances in the 2nd half to put in a cross on the counter but decided to dally on the ball and then ultimately lose it. Ofcourse, credit, especially to Smalling on a couple of occasions, to get the ball off him but he should've done much better in those situations where he could've killed the ball off.
He was, but don't let reality get in the way of media narrative.

I hate the way he dribbles. Is it a foul when the opponent looks to be kicked?
Its so strange when a defender goes for a clean tackle only to have Hazard throw a body part out to draw the foul.
The ref shouldn't be so defensive of players like that.

Yeah I thought that as well more wasteful rather than poor though. Great player but was strange listening to Keown saying Hazard was this and that and United were poor. When in fact thought we were the better team. On the other hand if we scored first I’d have expected us to have done what Chelsea did and Chelsea look the better team. It’s what Jose and Conte do best shut teams out. I’m content with that as it has its merits but can mean for (what people term as boring football) but it’s a proven formula that works time and again.

They called him consistent yesterday which made me laugh.

He has whole seasons off after he wins the league

I only saw HT2, tbf. Hazard was largely ineffective, but I didn't see the many opportunities to play a teammate on you saw. Chelsea's offensive players were mostly outnumbered and isolated, a consequence of Conte's deep 3-5-2, super-cautious approach, and bad collective transition play. United had little trouble to close down space and passing angles as a result.

First touch to give him the beating of Jones for the penalty was so great, only moment of true quality in the game. Hope that’s his last game for Chelsea.

Work how ? It wouldn't be the first time he'd play under Mourinho anyway.

Hopefully at the World Cup he's not up against Jones again...

Are you sure you never saw the 'multitude of opportunities' Hazard had to play in a blitzing Giroud and a rampaging Fabregas? Open your eyes man...

I clearly remember 2 chances where he had the ball on the counter and Giroud was in the area but decided to dribble more, then Smalling took the ball off him. Not clear chances to cross but certainly could've done more than lose the ball.

Sure, I wasn't proposing he didn't have moments like that. I just thought "a lot of chances" didn't really fit what was happening in the 2nd half, keeping in mind how little trouble United had to isolate Chelsea's ball carriers (at least from making decisive passes).

The first touch was good but the defending was fecking awful. What Jones was doing twisting and back peddling like that is beyond me. He literally allowed Hazard to run past him.

Smalling, Rojo or Bailly don't position themselves like that. Useless cnut Jones.

I would like to see him play in an attack focused team for once, the majority of his carer has been spent in conservative teams playing low risk football.

He plays in a side even more boring and defensive than current United. And is still brilliant.

Watch games and don't take stats as gospel.

He would be our best player by miles.

He gets the ball often at the half way line with only 1 player ahead. He will rarely lose the ball and usually creates something.

He's not the greatest finisher nor does he have the instincts of Ronaldo or Messi but these comparisons are pointless.

This is a good point. The offensive ability he showed in those Chelsea sides is really amazing. He would be terrifying for a team that has more of the ball in the final third. Really hope the rumors about City are not true.

He only has 2 years on his contract so Madrid should be all over this, only reason they might not do it is because they'll be dreaming about Neymar who plays in a similar position.

He might not be the most consistent player or the one with the best decision making and output, but once he gets going, it is near impossible to stop him without fouls. Has a knack of scoring against us regularly, similar to Aguero. He is far too good for Chelsea, if only he showed more ambition, he could easily be top 5 player in the world. The way he carries the ball and goes past people is sensational, pure joy, something KDB, Eriksen or Salah dont possess.

Both him and City need to make a mark on a European scale; And in a way you would have facilitated it with your gazumping of the Sanchez deal.

New rumors or old ones? Sane is better.
He simply isn't better than Eden Hazard. Without space and in compact areas Sane can't operate at a high level. Hazard is the closest player in terms of ball carrying ability to Lionel Messi.

At this present moment, Sane is not even better than Raheem Sterling.

Can't see Chelsea selling to City this summer. Next summer though they'll be desperate to get money for him.

Said it in the other thread but him and Mourinho must've parted on real bad terms at Chelsea, he plays like he always has a point to prove against Man. United now.

He's some player but he really is a cheating wee sh*te.
It is not cheating to position your body between the ball and the opposing player. He knows this and frequently gets fouled because some defenders do not. On the occasions he doesn't get fouled he goes around the player. He is brilliant and would walk into Utd's side.

The refs love him and protect him more than any other player I can think of. He gets fouls every game that are dives.
Refs do not love players. Do you think the refs get it wrong "every game"?
Do you think he dived for the penalty on Saturday? Jones should have tried the block and not brought the player down. It was a very tight angle and De Gea was in a good position.

Hazard knows how to wrong side a player that's all. He can make a defender go the wrong way. He does it all the time and the defenders just get frustrated and lash out. If he was in your team you would love him.

I wasn't talking about the penalty. I am talking about his general play. Refs do have perceptions of certain players, Pogba, for example is never allowed to 'buy' a free kick whereas players like Hazard and Ashley Barnes get away with it all the time.
