The fact that none of his teammates came to console after the final is honestly surprising and disappointing. I'd like to think most of us in that position would think of how devasted he must be feeling after the final whistle blew. Having said all that he's earned **** hero status. The new Diego Forlan.
Funny that. This is what RAWK had to say:

I could imagine Everton and United fans throwing things at their keeper if they were in such a situation!
Fortunately, we don't know what that's like (having a shite keeper).

Ronaldo should have gave him his winner medal.
 If you're ever in Madeira (Portugal) - go to the Ronaldo museum to see how obsessed he is with medals and honors. He'd kill his mom before giving away a medal.

I genuinely hope the Pool staff looks after him. Its a sport after all and you wouldn't want someone to go into depression. None of the teammates came to console him, when ideally every player should have gone to him to console him after that
To be totally honest... imagine being in a CL final (somewhere a player like Henderson should never be at in the first place) and your goalkeeper does the things Karius did. I dont think i could go over to him and say something like "Oi mate cheer up better luck next time". It might be a teamsport but it was one person ruining this final for Liverpool

Ouch!

See this is the problem. He’s just made two massive errors in front of millions of people. Our fans should support him and appreciate that he had the guts to come over and apologise.

I hope this doesn’t affect his career long-term. It’s not nice to see anyone broken like that at the end.

I'm trying to remember it's just a game at the end of the day. I hope he has all the support he needs, I've been in some dark places and tonight he will more than be in one. Stay strong Loris, you'll bounce back strong.

Nights like these can have an adverse effect on mental health it's important to remember. Hopefully he does nothing stupid and has all his family and friends manager and teammates around him to help.

Swing low, sweet Karius

Coming for to carry me home

Swing low, sweet Karius

Coming for to carry me home

I looked over Jordan, and what did I see?

(Coming for to carry me home)
He let it slip like Stevie G

(Coming for to carry me home)

If you get home before I do

(Coming for to carry me home)
Deluded Scousers foaming at the mouth

(Coming for to carry me home)
Chorus (3×)

Well said. Tough loss for you lot tonight. Can't imagine I'd be posting on a liverpool forum if roles were reversed but fair play.

Feel awful for him to be honest.

I mean, I'm delighted Liverpool lost... But yeah, poor bloke

I hate to say it but I felt for him. Before hand I would have loved the thought of revelling in such a bufoon like performance but in reality when I saw I couldn’t help but feel a level of humanity for the guy. That was career suicide and a very lonely moment to be in.
