Which begs the question: why are we the only club that has players no one wants to buy?
Clubs do want to buy our deadwood, just not for a lot of money. Plus they have to match the high wages we pay which means we have to lower the price to get rid of them

And Abramovich has shelved plans for the stadium build because he can’t get back in the country, they say it won’t affect the clubs spending but something stinks in West London and it ain’t the fat burg from all the foie gras that gets flushed down the shitters around there.

It's our own fault - if we sold Darmien after the EL final we would have got more money for him.

Matteo Darmian will undergo a medical to complete his €12m transfer from Manchester United to Juventus, claim Sportitalia.
The full-back was spotted in Milan today and is expected to have his medical tests tomorrow in Turin.
Does the price keep dropping every time this move gets reported?

Vidal - "I still have a year of contract with Bayern, I know my value. I have many offers. If I move it will be for a team that is a contender"

Thiago and Vidal available, I feel like it's 2012 again. I hope we steer clear, he seems to be over the hill.

A smart move by Chlesea, Ancelotti is already to take over so this forces Napoli to release him rather than Chelsea have to pay compo.
Thought they sacked him, a bit cheeky to ask for compensation

I would 100% take him if the fee was reasonable (anything less than 40m)

It’s not really much of a risk in that case, if we sign Fred then we’d have enough midfield options that if it doesn’t work out it’s not big deal but if it does and Vidal reaches his top form it would be a genuine game changer for us. I’d say it would be worth the risk but not if they want a huge fee for him

Or Napoli continue to keep him under employment until he finds a new club. Until it comes to a point of course where it makes more sense to pay it off.

There's something wrong at that club. The clause is just 7m.
Why?

£7m is still a lot of money especially as Napoli already have a new manager, so what they gonna do with Sarri? Demote him to janitor?

If they don't play the release clause he probably just wont leave. I read that Aurelio De Laurentiis would rather take the risk and pay his 1.5 million euro wages than let him go for free instead of getting the compensation.

How does that work? They've already hired Ancelotti as his replacement so obviously he's no longer able to do the job he was hired to do at Napoli. They gain nothing by keeping him on. It'll only destroy their reputation and cost them money because of his wages. Who'd want to go to a club that treats people who served them very well like this?

Silly month if United only gets Panini stickers of Juve players while Juve gets a squad player on the cheap.

Napoli would be seen as a club that can't be messed with. ADL said it himself, which I paraphrase...

If you sign a contract extension with a pay rise, Napoli must get something in return i.e. a buy-out clause. You don't just get the pay rise for free, which is what would happen if they just let him go from his contract.

Juventus are getting a useless right back for what he's worth
darmian is not cafu but, you know, when a club has a lot of players underperforming, the problem stays with the club, not the players

You're still getting one of our worst players, if not the worst.

I take it you haven’t watched him play that often? He has looked pretty shite under 2 managers now already. I like the guy so I do wish him all the best but to solely blame the club for his shortcomings as a player is downright ridiculous.

Also when speaking about underperforming players at our club, the main issue seems
to be in attack, not defence. You know that right?

He's one less problem that will be at the club.

He's 28, leaving for €12m, even at that its not as if there are a list of clubs looking at him.

That may be because he's coming off the back of a season where he was so bad he made the fewest appearances he's managed in a season since he was 22.

Good luck to him, glad to see him gone.

"Roman Abramovich scraps plans for Chelsea's new £1bn stadium 'because he is unwilling to invest in a country where he can't work' - as he 'withdraws UK visa request' in fall-out over Russian poisoning row"

Cant point the source because the reputation of DM is not good here.

He's West Ham quality, so lower mid table, and you want him at United?
Yeah, because teams lower down the table have never bought good players right? Sane is doing alright at Liverpool, Milner did OK at City, I recall Chelsea signing Lampard and Cole from West Ham. The last player we signed from them was Tevez.
