It's no jinx. I'm definitely rooting for Spain, Marocco and Iran against Portugal. For the WC win i'm rooting for Iceland though.
Well, that's good.To be honest I thought the problem with Sporting was the president, nothing related to the federation.
I'll have a look to the Sporting thread

Godin has been outstanding - I reckon Egypt would be up here if he wasn't on the field. Bentacur and Elnenny both excellent as well.

I'm still half sure that Suarez chance at the back post went in.

Reckon Salah will come on at some point. Should get interesting.

If Uruguay continue playing this way, they shouldn't be considered favorites in this group.

You're probably the sort of person who believes the 2003 Champions League final was great.
Long time ago, there were a lot of good players, lets say it was a typical final. Anyway after watching this first half must be said this doesn't belong to the best category of 0:0 I watched in my life.

And yet everyone complained about yesterday's match. This match is so boring and far worse than yesterday's match.

To be honest I prefer matches like these that may be a bit boring, but with two reasonably evenly matched teams vs watching say Germany vs Saudi. Shitter football but more of a contest.

Better not, sometimes the level of argumentation there gets crazy, particularly if I am talking with portuguese posters from other clubs

How many of these players played at the London Olympics? I remember them bringing Suarez and Cavani to the competition and they had a shocker. Shades of that. Think they also had to play Saudi Arabia then.

Suarez not as dynamic and tenacious as during 2013-2016. Age is showing.

Missed the first half. How is Varela doing ?
Hasn't really been in the game much. Defensively, Uruguay haven't had much defending to do, and attack wise he made a decent chance with a cut back to Suarez in which Suarez should've done better with but not much else.

Certain types of fans just want goals. Fair enough really.

For those watching from India, is it just me or is Baichung Bhutia's half-time discussion unbearable? Sunil Chhetri did a way better job. They should have gone for him.

Yes me too. There will be lots of games like this during the world cup and it's better when things are on a knife edge and you don't know which way it will go. Teams will risk more as the game continues. I remember watching Argentina vs Netherlands in semi final 2014 and it finished 0-0 after et but the whole game I was on the edge of my seat because it was very entertaining.

Poor match although Egypt will be very happy with this result.

Will probably watch Federer play in ten minutes if this dosen't improve.

Godin is a beast

Uruguay aren't great at these kinds of games but when the knockouts come I think they'll be very dangerous against anyone.

Sounds a bit like Atletico Madrid that....;)

Edit: Wrong poster, SCP said it.

Nah theyll lose in the first round. They look incredibly disjointed, which isnt promising as an upset can happen against any side for teams like that. And them doing the upsets are unlikely.
