Fantasy Premier League 18/19

Salah or no Salah will be the big question. 13m seems a bit too much especially when Mane and Firmino are 9.5.

any interest in a money league this year? £20 each or something, if that is allowed?

Anybody doing a Caf League?

I’ve never done fantasy footy before, so if there is a Caf one, I’d rather join it than a random one.

Not sure on Salah at 13m

Think I’ll avoid for now

My Essien calculator tells me it's possible to have Lukaku, Salah, Kane, Eriksen and Pogba with 4,5s all over the pitch.

Wow, that was soon.

I guess the early tactic has to be to just put in Kane and Salah and go from there.

Feck that. Ruins the rest of your team.

I've gone for this so far

Fabianski
Maguire Moses Douglas
Sane Eriksen Fernandinho Cairney
Kane Firmino Auba

Will no doubt change but my thinking was I'd rather have that front 3 than just Kane and Salah then low scorers. Not sure about Fernandinho but he scored pretty decently last season. Dunno if Sane is a rotation risk either.

Kane last season. Suarez. Ronaldo was 14.

Suarez has never been £14m, he was £13m when Liverpool nearly won the league :D

RVP, Henry and Ronaldo remain the most expensive FPL players ever at £14m each.

The question was 13m, not 14m.

My bad, I missed the full stop next to Suarez.

Back when picking a captain was the least of your worries, now it's the complete opposite.

Knocked up a quick placeholder side this morning

De Gea - Speroni
Mendy - TAA - Coleman - Tarkowski - Schelotto
Salah - D Silva - Eriksen - Jota - Cairney
Firmino - Zaha - Calvert Lewin

Not a single United player in my XI

Got some spare change to switch Aubameyang out for Kane come September

Not a single player from City either though and an over-reliance on the Liverpool attack.

Yeah I know, just didn't fancy any of the City players

I tend to give up on FF after the first few weeks these days anyway

Neves is apparently a poor fantasy option. Read a ridiculous stat that he had more goals from outside the box last season than touches inside it!

Not sure if that’s true as sounds incredible, but gives an indication of the type of player he is (more likely to assist the assister).

I've never found the time to play this since I got a job, but was playing this every season from the 2005-06 season before that (I remember telling my friends to pick Darren Bent from Charlton that season, what a signing he was for me ).

Will try to create a team this season!

Hardly a shock. He's a centre midfielder after all.

He’s currently the third most selected midfielder in the game - so I think there is some misunderstanding around how effective he is as an FPL player.

Oh wow. Yeah definitely. There's literally no point getting that type of center midfielders. He seems a bit more deep lying/box to box rather than the attacking midfielder.

He's got a good shot on him so maybe that's why.

I thought I was in this league last year but can't find it. Could I get a pm of the code please!

Yep, 100% that’s the reason imo. He scored some rockets last year and he looks an exceptional player - but as we know the great deeplying playmakers don’t always (or ever) translate to being good fantasy assets!

Annoyingly I can't call my team LukeShaw's Wank Redemption.

Gone with this but will probably change it 40 times before the season starts.
