Belgium are a strange team. They have some clumsy players on the ball to say the least and then have some of the most technically gifted players in the tournament. It seems to work though. They are very exciting to watch.
Those 'clumsy' players have their roles and they are playing their roles excellently well. Height and physicality serve their purposes. The Belgium team is well balanced.

TBF, Casemiro absence is so effective. Brazil are terrible in defending counters without him.
Yeah those counters would not be so effective with Casemiro in there. He plays that role brilliantly for Madrid. The other 3 are good going up and down but aren't as defensively solid as Casemiro.

Lukaku has been playing like R9 this tournament. Excited for the new season.

I would tell my child that celibacy isn't that bad.
I would ordinarily agree with you, but do you really want to face this Belgium side? It will be a hell of a semi-final if they come through.

Belgium look immense today and you have to give credit to Martinez, 4 at the back when defending, 3 when attacking. Getting the best out of KDB (who along with Lukaku) has been the best player on the pitch today. Fellaini has been excellent if lucky not to be booked. They look the real deal today.

Lukaku, Hazard and De Bruyne with a counter-attacking master class in that first half. What a joy to watch!

This isn’t over yet, though. If Brazil pull one back, Belgium will be shaking in their boots. Another goal for Belgium, preferably Lukaku, should seal the deal though.

Time to pull out this gem of a post from earlier on in the World Cup:

:lol::lol:

He's been absolutely imperious so far. Brazil can't handle him at all.
When you think these posts come from United fan, it's ridiculous. If it was a rival fan I would have been Ok with that.

Not sure about Fred. If they lose he'll get destroyed in the press as the rest of the playing team is going to.

Casemiro badly missed.

Lukaku inspires so much fear onto the Brazilian defenders, he is creating heaps of space for his teammates. Amaxing.

Glad Belgoum went 4 at the back at least defensively. Thought Martinez would be too stubborn to switch out but credit where it's due! Theyve been class

Lukaku has been playing like R9 this tournament. Excited for the new season.
I love Lukaku to bits but that's a bit sacrilegious. There hasn't been a central striker since that comes remotely close to having the package of explosiveness, dribbling, shooting and movement that R9 possessed.

You can't be serious. I mean, he's been good. But Hazard has just been incredible. KDB really great too. Even Fellaini has been more impressive. Look at Coutinho, we haven't even seen him!

Luka has had a couple of terrible sideways passes too. Could have been dangerous
Lukaku has done lots of off the ball work which has been fantastic in creating space. He has often been directing play to his teammates through his movement and every Belgium attack which is leading to something worthwhile has Lukaku in thick of it. It is you who seems not serious if you think Fellaini has been more impressive. Good game so far for Fellaini but Romelu the best Belgian player for me so far.
