The Tory party have never given anything to anyone ever
No fan of her, but hard to dispute her approach in trying to get a soft Brexit. The hard Brexiteers have repeatedly screeched about how unfair this all is while not producing any viable plans for issues like NI etc.

Why should the EU trust Corbyn more than May? They won't give him more time.

From what I can see the proposal is more or less in the Labour ball-park. I would hope that Corbyn doesn't try and exploit the situation. The Country should come first. There'll be plenty of time for politics afterwards.

The only people who will be happy with these resignations are people who still have dreams of us staying and those who want hard brexit.

It depends on how much control Corbyn has over his party. I suspect a lot of Labour MPs will vote with the government. Corbyn hasn't come up with real alternatives and May is perhaps the only person fighting for soft brexit.
My guess is Corbyn is going to try and exploit the situation to force a GE. That in itself changes nothing with respect to brexit. We would still be stuck.
