Don't we have like 100 million to spend before we reach the amount we normally spend?

Just buy Alderweireld and Toby for 100 mill total and be done with it.

Spurs would be happy with that

Can't we just buy him once?

Potentially buying Bayern's deadwood again? :houllier:

This has Basti 2.0 written all over it.

They never willingly sell players that still have something to offer.

A typical Woodward signing that would be, go after the biggest name regardless of their quality when you can't get your targets.

Mourinho's fiendish attempt to drive Martial out of the club by refusing to sell him continues. Monster.

He’s so thick he doesn’t realise he’s doing The exact opposite of what he should do.

Loving how these trash heap journos have all these eating out of the palm of their hands. Having fits of laughter followed by fits of rage at the idiocy.

No, it isn't. Unless you have a massive agenda. If Mourinho wanted him out he'd be gone.
In your opinion yes, but in my opinion it has been apparent for a while that Mourinho doesn’t want him. The agenda to rid Mourinho of responsibility is just as strong as the agenda of those who don’t rate him.

It’s clear to me there is conflict between what the club want and what Mourinho wants, who is right? Who will come out on top? Only time will tell.

It's obvious Ed and Daniel are haggling over a few million for Toby. This could go down to the deadline. I wonder how much they are apart still in there valuation. What has Ed been at since the world cup? Honestly, we should be in a advanced stage now for another target. Fascinating how this is going to play out.

Again, he has been under Mourinho for two seasons. He's still here. There is zero logic or evidence to suggest that your opinion is anything other than agenda driven bullshit.

Tired of this "voted against early deadline" thing. They knew it for months, and did very little during that period. Now, water up their noses, they need more time. Give me a break.
I agree with you that this should be no excuse. Still, an early deadline should be decided on UEFA level, so there'd be a level playing field.

No it's not. The difference in money between winning the league and finishing 2nd-3rd is minuscule. And there's no guarantee that even with these players Mourinho will manage to finish above City or Liverpool next year or even get the team to play exciting football.

Pissing away 200m on players that'll need replacing in 3-4 years with no resale value on the slim hope that he might deliver a title in that time, would be seen as terrible investment by the shareholders/owners.
Ya i wouldn't spend 200m on willian and perisic

Boetang would be a pointless stop gap just because he can't be trusted to stay fit, and I don't think he's that great a defender anymore either. Honestly better off sticking with that we've got, pointless spunking of cash.

Except I don’t have an agenda, so that’s your argument out the window right away. Nice.

Your opinion says otherwise.
My opinion, is shared by a large number of fans, who unlike you can see things for what they are and how Mourinho works. I’m not saying he’s wrong for not wanting Martial, I’m saying that, in my opinion, if it were totally up to him he’d swap him with Willian in a heartbeat.

I am in agreement with you.

It is also why the club are not willing to sanction moves for umpteen players who are heading into their 30's

The club may be hoping Mourinho stays longer term than usual but they will also be very aware of his lack of loyalty and won't want to be left with a squad of over the hill players costing us a fortune when the next manager walks in.
