Personally, think that is poor form. He will have his personal reasons for thinking of changing allegiance. And that's why Deschamps will most likely never select him.

In the Press Gossip thread he has said something about Laporte being a bit of a loner and that is why he didn't pick him. Strange one that. Also personally I think Remi is absolutely gash. And that's why Deschamps will most likely never select him.

You can't predict who will win a short term competition in 4 years. Even less saying only 1 team can win. Sure they will have multiple talent to select. Winning is another matter. It's 4 years away but France are already nailed on favorites on paper for the next World Cup.
Delighted for Tony, fully deserved.

Ok missed the entire point. No discussion on that.Ah but you see my disclaimer in the form of: ''on paper''![]()
Deschamps was never one to base his calls on only a few weeks of good league form and Lacazette hasn't proven much.Deschamps does really hate Lacazette, doesn't he?
Rami is a great dressing room presence and their good-luck charm. He's also not a bad playerIn the Press Gossip thread he has said something about Laporte being a bit of a loner and that is why he didn't pick him. Strange one that. Also personally I think Remi is absolutely gash.
He has not looked great for Marseille this season. God only knows why I called him Remi.Rami is a great dressing room presence and their good-luck charm. He's also not a bad player
didnt Lucas Hernandez (as well as his brother) do the same thing? And that's why Deschamps will most likely never select him.
Why?Rabiot
didnt Lucas Hernandez (as well as his brother) do the same thing?
He refused to be on the reserves list for the World Cup.Why?
Not really. Giroud is one of his favourites and will probably always be selected as long as he's available but Lacazette hasn't done enough to displace any of the other forwards in the team.Deschamps does really hate Lacazette, doesn't he?
I was pretty sure that Lucas did the same thing a few years ago but I'll take your word on it since I'm not 100% sure. But yes their case is different in case of nationatily.Lucas didn't, Théo did worse and if I'm not mistaken he hasn't been selected by the youth teams since he went awol on one selection after playing for France since the U16. Now their situation is different, they are born in France but almost exclusively lived in Spain because their father was playing there and both parents have the spanish nationality. In their case, we are talking about genuine dual nationality.

Either way, I usually agree with Deschamps' principles and actually am happy that he is enforcing those, but in Laporte's case I think he's being a little too tough.
Why is Rabiot blacklisted? The only blacklisted players are Rabiot, Benzema and Valbuena.
I think Deschamps views Sakho and Rami as nice guys who would be delighted to be on the bench.
Also Mamadou Sakho has saved the career of Deschamps by scoring 2 goals against Ukraine and enables France to be part of the WC in 2014
Regarding Laporte, not impossible Deschamps has not liked his blackmail some years ago 'If you don't pick me, I will play for Spain'
he refused to be on the standby list for the world cup.Why is Rabiot blacklisted?
I want to see Martial and Fekir together in attack at some point please.
France portugal Spain and even the dutch made the best out of their golden generation.
Its a shame england has nothing to show for theirs, not even a semifinal.
France would go on to win 1 more trophy at this rate, nobody comes close with them with germany on the wane and crotia without modrid.
The current France squad must have the most depth of pretty much any team in the history of International football. They should be big favourites for the Euros in 2020.
More than Spain 2010?
True that, but Fekir deserves to get called ahead of him based on the current form? Not really. Giroud is one of his favourites and will probably always be selected as long as he's available but Lacazette hasn't done enough to displace any of the other forwards in the team.
Laporte, on the other hand...

You can have a golden generation but it makes no difference if your golden generation isn't the best team at he moment. Even with our golden generation, France and Brazil...even Argentina had better squads. You can add Italy to the list.France portugal Spain and even the dutch made the best out of their golden generation.
