Toby Alderweireld will not be coming to Man Utd, he is off to Real Madrid with Hazard next summer, as Martinez will be appointed the next manager.

There will be no signings in January, as the teams performance will start to pick up, and Woodward will give new contracts to Martial, Smalling, Jones and Ander Herrera. Should Martinez struggle, Mourinho will be appointed Real Madrid next summer.

Dembele from Barca.

Get him in and settled ahead of next season.

De Gea
Dalot - Smalling - Lindelof - Shaw
Fred - Andreas - Pogba
Dembele - Sanchez - Martial

@Bwuk I wouldn't support that line up though looks lightweight to me especially at the defense block, maybe Ruben Neves for Perreira and Baily for Lindelof

DDG
Dalot, Smalling, Baily, Shaw
Fred, Neves, Pogba
Dembele, Sanchez, Martial

Then we can really compete ala attack.. attack.. attack...

That's a lot of predictions you made, in one post.
I shall check these predictions, in 9 months and if you manage to get them all correct, I shall pay you to select my lottery numbers. ;)

It's not likely that we'll address any of our starting XI needs in January. Perhaps a young prospect or a useful squad player to backfill possible transfers such as Jones, but no one who can make an immediate high impact.

But I suppose that depends on how we're doing by late December. If we've climbed into the top four conversation and are have made it out of the group stage, we could pick up a single big name that fills a serious need such as Alderwiereld.

The moment of truth. If it's like Van Gaal's last season when he didn't get the transfers, if Mourinho doesn't get any in the winter, it would be safe to say ManUtd is already occupied with and saving budget for the succession and his transfer wishes.
Van Gaal signed 13 players in 2 seasons, 13 bloody players 90% of which were failures yet you people talk about players he didn't get. What the hell is wrong with some of you?

bring in a dof and prepare well for summer to bring in at least a good CB, RW, RB, and DM.

We are likely to get shafted shopping in january without a dof

Ramos's comments on Sunday, suggest it won't be Conte, leaving only Martinez or a long shot Jardim.Hazard will have 12 months left on his contract in the summer, Chelsea's bargaining position, won't be as big. Hazards comments about working with Mourinho again, could be nothing or something he's heard on the grapevine.

Mourinho won't let up if he is not promised some form of a kitty, whoever is managing Man Utd next season will need a RW, an experienced or commanding centre back. and possibly a keeper.

Woodward, comes across like a fly of the seat kind of operator. All the noise at the beginning of the season could of been defused, but instead he let it all drag out, at the deteriment of the playing sqaud and the the clubs brand.

Remember it was Jose who built the last Madrid squad, Ronaldo is gone, Casillas and Pepe are gone, and Ramos will be 33 next summer.

Alderweireld and Varane.

Build from the back.
Go for Right Wing and Striker in the summer.

Bonus: Get Right back and Defensive Midfielder.

I doubt that we'll be getting any players in January.

We desperately needed players in the Summer and Woodward decided that he needed to save money, to meet his financial/business targets. I don't see what will change in January.
Woodward made it clear in the Summer that he is looking to buy a Galactico class player and spend big. He isn't interested in players who Jose has identified, to improve our team on the pitch.
We could've had Perisic. we could've had Toby A, but Woodward felt that our current players are better than those 2.

I predict that Woodward will go on holiday once the transfer window opens and he'll return after it has closed.
We need a top 4 place whether it is under Mourinho or whoever, which is why we will bring in 2/3 players in January.

I mean if we are in fantasy land because I doubt we’d get 3 players in January and especially not these 3 but.

DDG
Young-Smalling-Lindelof-Shaw
Neves
Ndombele
—— Pogba
Dembele - -Sanchez——Martial
I’d like a CB in there somewhere and arguably it’s probably more important than Ndombele but I wanted someone with energy and skill and height who could help out Neves in there. Hopefully we get a CB in the summer who can shore it up and just make it look like the unit it should be. Lucas Hernandez preferably but Skriniar has looked good to me when I’ve seen him.

Hopefully Dalot can replace Young soon after that.

I don't think we'll bring in anyone to improve the first team in January. You pay a premium to dislodge a player from their team mid-season and Woodward seemingly doesn't fancy backing Mourinho at the minute. We'd be better writing this season off transfer wise, addressing the need for a more structured transfer policy involving and DoF and then buying in the summer, when the new people are in place. Preferably with a new head coach as well.

Of course, whether any of that will happen is anybody's guess.

A CB... Alderweireld, Koulibaly or Škriniar.

A RW... Zaha.

100% this.

A sporting director/DoF is the signing I want us to make.

Can’t see it and we will probably end up paying a world record fee for Harry Maguire

We need more than 3.

And until we ship some players out, its even less likely that more than 1 addition comes in.

Question marks over Darmian/Rojo/Bailly/Jones/Young/Valencia/Fellaini/Lingard/Herrera/Periera....

Not too mention TFM/Tuanzebe.

We need a lot of work.

I don't January, or Jose are a good place to start.....

There's no question marks on most of those players. They simply aren't good enough.

I said I would like 3 players come here in January, but I don't think we could get them all for the Supposedly 100million we have to spend, so I think we may have to settle for-: Godin, Alderweireld and Everton Soares from Gremio.

Dembelé. (the kind of player that Mou knows how to deal with).
a CB.
a RB.

and n o, in my opinion, we don't need another midfielder, Matic needs to be benched, that's all.

He has problems with players who throw minor hissy fits never mind ones who seems to do it regularly.
Dembelé is also finding hard to work at the level required at Barca. He'd have to help out defensively more than ever at United. It just doesn't seem like a good fit. He'd cost ridiculously expensive too

I don't see why we should take the problem off Barca and give them the money to improve while we accrue another problem. I don't want us the become a dumping ground for other clubs wild childs and a retirement home for others.

I think were were going to get 4 (first team) players last Summer. We only got Fred.
Now you are suggesting we will get 2-3.
I doubt we will get any players, but we shall wait and see.

Mourinho knows how to deal with the likes of Dembelé ?
He does.
He'll stop using him (until the player starts behaving himself) and if the player does not improve his behaviour, 18 months later he'll be sold.

Whats going on with James at Bayern? Read somewhere Bayern wanted to ship him off. Realistically Toby and James we could sign. But I dont really want us to sign anyone. Top 4 is gone already and Mou will be off end of the season. Lets save the cash for the new manager to spend on whatever kind of players he wants. No point in Mou scouting and buying players.

James Rodriguez??? Hell no. For some reason, latin americans and Man Utd don't mix. Plus he's overrated as hell.

I dont believe for one second that we will make a major move in the transfer market this January; and neither should we if not someone that we were going for next summer anyhow for some reason will be available in January.
Players like Aldeweireld, Skriniar and Koulibaly, De Ligt, De Jong, etc, will not be available in January. But they might very well be this summer for the right offer.
We need to wait for the right players to become available and that will not happen until next summer.
The worst thing we could do now is sign some older or not wanted players from other teams and fat up our wage bill even more. We will need to make room for a couple of new players next summer that will have to be on way higher wages than the one we currently have if we are going to buy quality. There is the issue of De Geas new contract as well which will affect this.
This summer will be one without any major international tournament involving European teams (not counting this Nation League crap). We need to try to get deals done early with 3-4 top players so that they are available for the pre-season. We should not feck with this by buying second degree players, who are usually the ones that are available in January.
I can see us letting Darmian and/or Rojo go in January. If both leave, I see us maybe going for a Diego Godin for example. As a short-term solution. If he wants to come, which is a big if in itself. I would not advocate that myself but I can see Mourinho doing something like that.
If nothing exceptional presents itself we should stay the hell out of the January transfer window otherwise. We are not going to fix this season by buying in January.

Dont think we should use that logic when recruiting players.
Is he overrated? If anything he's underrated! Everytime I've seen him play he's impressed me. Had 7 goals and 11 assists in 19 starts in Bundesliga last season, thats not bad at all.
