Go check how much Real Madrid won in the 5 seasons before Zidane.

Somehow United are constantly at a rebuild stage since Sir Alex left, yet Real & Chelsea and co get rid of their managers all the time and manage just fine.
Do you think with our current squad Zidane can win the league/CL?

Someone steeped in the history of the club and apparently the press will like (apparently in terms of press conferences etc.).

Has Cantona been suggested?

I would back him as manager but he has some things to prove. Hopefully he can prove those things here.

What?

You're calling me a fool for laughing at someone saying we'll regret sacking Mourinho?
Apologies .. I misread in my excitement. I still cannot believe there are (alleged) United fans actually lamenting the departure of the worst managerial appointment in our history.

Sorry Xx

Because he's been photographed at Old Trafford with Ed Woodward several times in recent weeks.

Fecking hell, just because he's been photographed with him? He's somebody important at the club, he meets a lot of people and Evra has NO EXPERIENCE as manager. Christ.

Buy yeah, he's French and funny!

I would love to see keano rip into a few of these players on the training ground and in the dressing room - but nothing more!

Can't wait for Duncan Castles's scathing article on how rubbish everything at United is.

His time was due but his work up until this season deserved appreciation and respect.
Of course it did and some of the comments in this thread are at beat disrespectful.

We must remember that he has been extremely successful at every other club he has managed. We all know that and the concern is that if found the job too difficult then how likely is it that the next person will succeed.

Don't get me wrong. He had to go and eventually we will be back at the top.
But the next appointment really has to succeed.

Haha it's understandable mate.

That's why I thought it must be a wind up, how can any Utd fan be sat there this morning and thinking sacking Jose was a mistake??

I remember his Southampton side playing us off the pitch at OT, left a good impression from the very start
Yep, kept a close eye on him and Southampton after that game. He just carried on impressing me. I remember, after said game, Fergie praising him big time. You could tell how impressed he was.

Even Sir Alex probably can't drive that sorry lot to the title, but there's nothing that suggest Zidane cannot build a squad/team.

On the other hand Poch seems unable to win anything despite having some of the best players in the league in his team.

Rooney's ball and van Persie's volley.
Seems a weird thing to worry about when we have had our fans willing the team to lose over the past 4 years because they didnt like the managers.

This is different. This is a former employee of the club. He's no longer with United
Understood. But the essence of the club lies in supporting our manager, the ones on the helm. Now, I know I know what awaits me in response to this, but it is just a weird feeling to see all this, is all!

Feck it give it to Cantona. We could all do with some cheering up.

I could see him marching us up the table to the top 4 alongside a glorious run in the FA Cup where we beat Liverpool in the final after he's been sent to the stands for headbutting Klopp.

Is Bruce liked by the press?

I would say Blanc or Solskjaer, but since Ole has a stable job, probably Blanc. I dont mind him, plenty of experience as player and manager.

Really hope he will grow some balls, put his head down, work hard and lead this team forward because he has immense potential.

This will be a turning point for him and for us as fans, we'll see what he's made of, steel or puff.
