I hope it's Simeone or someone who goes defence first and you "I want entertainment, my poor dad doesn't watch games anymore" can cry even more..

This is football, not circus..

If I were doing the sales pitch to Poch, I'd be talking up the fact that the only way is up for United, and he'll have the time and resources to get us back on top, while at Spurs, the only way they've got to go is backwards, particularly if investment takes a hit with the stadium.
You can't guarantee him that at United anymore. We're up against City who have much more money to burn. Furthermore Spurs have the better players and most likely we can't get someone like Kane or Eriksen for a fair price. At United the expectations are much higher and he starts off with a worse squad. So taking the huge risk of failure into consideration, the money has at least doubled, maybe even tripled.

Perhaps, but i'm sure if he had chosen reasonable options it wouldn't have been a question.

At that point 70m on Maguire or Alderweireld was just not feasible. I'm sure we would have got another in January if he'd remained positive and patient, but nope he cried like a spoilt child.

He proved that he couldn't make the team better with the players at his disposal, so he deserved no extra time. Good riddance and we can finally move forward AGAIN.
Agreed. I hope this time we will go forward and not stutter around

Thank you Jose. No hard feelings towards the guy, shame how it ended.
Exactly how I feel. At the end of the day we won two trophies under him and achieved our best finish since Fergie retired. Just didn't work out the way we hoped and best we parted ways.

I am enjoying this. As it comes earlier than we all expected, the speculations the positive feelings and all.

I genuinely fear we'll go for a Conte or an Allegri meaning no real change in style

Not entirely sure Zidane would bring attacking football either
Ed used to lurk on forums; he has a beat on what's going on. He's not clued up on football, but he does like to impress the fans. He'll know we want an attacking manager and not another dullard.

We've had to negative coaches and a neutral one. It really is about time we went in the other direction.

I think the Ajax manager is supposed to very good and had revolutionary ideas, with a look. Erik ten Haag is his name and Ajax are certainly a good side with him at the helm.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Probably going to be the same shit in a couple years times. It goes beyond the manager at this point.
Why do people keep saying this? There isn't a curse on the club. Scouting, recruitment, training have all been substandard in recent years. We just need to be managed better.

No, the writing was on the wall a long time before.
Tepid loss to Valencia
Outclassed by City,Arsenal,Spurs
Embarrassing losses to Brighton.

You really believe Klopp was the architect of his demise?

Hated this guy with a passion ever since the 'voyeur' comments. Very glad he's been cast out to the wilderness. Utd are my close second team after Arsenal, having this guy around made watching Utd unbearable.

He's available?
Think some people think he has to much of a connection to Arsenal I followed Arsene from the beginning to the end of his Arsenal career and don't think he would seem right here. But everyone is entitled to their opinion and anything can happen in football so why not after all we we were willing enough to take Mr Chelsea.

3 managers same results. Too many tall or immobile players or both (Mata, Fellaini, Matic, Lukaku, Herrera, Darmia,Fred) complimented by lightweight youngsters (Lingard, Rashford) who have potential but really shouldn't be starters.

We have to start buying natural footballers (players whom football comes naturally...the silva guys at citeh etc) not athletes who learned to play football (Lukaku, Smalling, Jones) etc.

One man who comes out great all of this is Mourinho's agent. The man has negotiated beautifully for his client, he gets to earn more when sacked than when having a job

The axe should have been swung after Newcastle. Wish it didn’t end this way, I wanted Mourinho to be Fergie’s successor and thought it was the right fit after sacking Van Gaal. Was apparent from the summer this would be another third year disaster.

Did Liverpool just woke a sleeping giant up again?

Thank you for that final nail on the coffin.

We can restart now.

Just seen this...pleasantly amazed it’s happened so quick.

Now, need to get the new guy in for the Jan window.

Zidane? Poch? AN Other?

The biggest shock today is not Jose getting the boot, but the fact that Keith Richards is 75!
