I just hope he plays attacking football, even if it means we're more open at the back.

Ok, i love Ole the same like anybody else here but he was awful in Cardiff. Why him? And does this means that we are not interested in Zidane?
How? Zidane was hardly going to be an interim manager for six months

Meh enough of the sentimental bs can't see him doing any better than Mourinho would have tbh. An interim solution if ever there was one

The Ole one, say what you will it’s definitely a change from Mourinho. I expect the team to pick up their game the first few ones under him but it’s what happens after the honeymoon phase wears off that we will see his worth as a manager, interim or not.

I love him. Bloody nervous for him though.
He should just stick to our attacking traditions irrespective of anything else. As long as he doesn't relegate us:D - I'm thrilled to have someone in charge who sincerely loves the club.

Fellow fans please don't get down on him when we lose here and there. He's only here on an interim basis.

Jose was out of a job and didn't come until the end of the season.
Zidane may have had plans and commitments for this year before jumping back in, for example

Has to be said that is a very strange way for the news to be officially leaked by the club, I reckon someone who works on the website is getting a bollocking tomorrow.

That said I think that is brilliant news, the club desperately needs an injection of positivity and I think Ole can provide that. If we were going to go down the ex player route (Which has worked for Madrid and Barcelona to incredible affect) then Ole is the best choice by a mile in my opinion. He served his tutelage under Sir Alex who saw fit to make him the the reserve team manager and from memory he had them playing good attacking football with Welbeck, Petrucci and Macheda which saw him win silverware. Then took Molde to two league titles after they had recently avoided relegation. I think he was unlucky to join a sinking ship in Cardiff and seems to have done well at Molde since.

To me this season has just turned from a complete write off to almost a freebie with the hope we can see some solid attacking football under one of my all time favourite former players. I personally would be delighted if he showed enough for him to be given a shot longer term, obviously it is an outside bet and needs to be judged on merit and not Nostalgia but people need to remember that it was an outside bet when Zidane took over from Benitez.

Wasn‘t he sacked by Crystal Palace or some lower table PL club a while ago? Smells like Milan appointing Seedorf, Inzaghi, Gattuso etc and not getting any rewards
It's just interim. It's likely, or you would hope at least, that we are aiming far higher than this.

As interim managers go,I am happy with this. Just get the club stabilised and play some decent football.

Kind of get the feeling Zidane would not want to come into this halfway, in a sad state of affairs. I think we will have to sell our project to prospective managers, in terms of strategy of signings, responsibilities if we are to get a DOF, etc. Better to spend time setting that up first.

Mourinho was choking the life out of the team, players were unhappy, the football was abysmal, he had to go.

I'm better than Messi (even though I'm not)
He knows the club, loves and respects the club. The fans love him and will no doubt support him 100% but he’s got to earn that from the squad of players he’s inherited. Some have already shown if they don’t fancy they’ll just down tools. Anyway, it’s an interim appointment and I’d be happy to see him in the dugout. Good luck Ole!

Well some of you guys wanted Cantona. So there here's your romance.

All the best to him; we all need to get behind this positively. He can't be as pragmatic as the sacked one.

He likely won't have an agenda with everything he says though aimed to either piss of the board, players, fans or to make himself look good. It's hard to restructure when something toxic is said week in week out.

Hope Rene is on his team. We need someone to drill our attacking players.

Don't really care about results at all so long as the players go out, attack and try to express themselves.

That and Matic and Lukaku aren't allowed to constantly stink everything up.

Would love a Norwegian league watcher to break down his tactics for us.
Half the Molde supporters wanted him sacked 6 months ago....The Norwegian League is a rollercoaster, you can go from being relegation candidates to winners.

When that's said, fair fecks, good luck to him, can't wait to see the match on Saturday

fecking over the moon with the news. Didn't know who to expect as interim manager, but this is brilliant news.

In terms of likeability going from Mourinho to Solskjaer in a day is quite a dizzying change.
