Timing of this is strange, definitely something political. Chelsea have been doing this for an eternity.

Expect some Russia related news to break next week that'll be tied in some way to Mr Roman

But they had top players in their sides. Chelsea are in desperate need of restructuring so not only will they be rushed into this process (not good based on previous transfer dealings) within a summer they will lose a year of progress behind it.
Two of their starting eleven are loan players.
The race for top 4 is ruthless at the minute. I don't think they can afford to fall so far behind the top 3 and (hopefully) United.
I don't think Chelsea have a worse squad than Spurs or Arsenal if you take their loan players into account aswell. Obviously they'd have the benefit of two transfer windows but Sarri should be getting a lot more out of them than he is currently, the early season form/title winning nucleus suggests that.

Don't know why City and Chelsea are linked? Thats a ridiculous statement to make.
I'd be shocked if a club is ever banned for two years. The club would be forced to take it to real courts and it cold get messy for FIFA.

100 cases, only 29 apparently acted upon. FA ratified all deals so theyll get fined i guess.

Club adamant it acted correct in all cases, my hunch says if they proved on 71 of the 100 cases to have acted correctly, we very well could have on the remaining 29.

Appeal gives us the summer window to trade anyway. So I suspect a absolute shedload of money to be spent by us. Literally a shopping spree. Then appeal decision to be made

Plus, we wont sell Hazard this summer i dont think now.

Griezmann situation? Surely he won't run down and wait for a pay rise
I've never been convinced he is off anyway. I'd be telling madrid to throw Isco in the deal. I still think the CAS might overturn it like they did re. Kakuta. We provided all evidence we acted properly, as we insist now and it got overturned.

To appeal on the bases of 29 deals, we must have some confidence. Like i said, to throw 71 out and act on 29 sounds a little strange.

Because they'll appeal it, win it and then spend 300m this summer to cover them for a year.
essentially yes. But we can trade this summer anyway, the appeal outcome wont come out before then

You go on a mad spree and stockpile. You may even see the Roman of 2003-2007 ish return

Is Abramovich allowed to set foot in the UK again? Or is he still running the club through FaceTime & VPN's?

Even if they appeal and use the summer window, any club will rinse them for everything knowing the situaiton they are in!

We will appeal which will free up the summer window, but people will use the situation to try and milk us price wise.

Best way would be to target suitable players with release clauses and supplement the squad with the best loan army players.

I used to associated Chelsea with winning and dominance.

Nowadays they are just a loser club with average players and loser mentality, like Arsenal.

It's becoming clear why Chelsea and Man City are so far ahead at Youth level now! It's actually really disgusting how they tap up the best young players around Europe!

Apparently there's three clubs other than us and City facing bans, so most likely all off the big six bar one.

Tottenham could be soon in trouble too.
I heard on the grapevine Liverpool are likely one of the others but have heard nothing concrete about you or the North London duo, it's really an educated guess that the top 6 make up the teams under investigation.

What? They might actually sign somebody?

A Tottenham youth ITK has heard that Tottenham are under serious investigation because of two signings.......Chelsea were found guilty of 29 incidences.....i don't know the FIFA rules if 2 incidences would lead to a transfer ban too or just a future warning or just a fine.

They won the league 18 months ago, and are the most successful PL team in the last 15 years. Calm down.

Chelsea are a big club, they'll find ways around this.
Sorry, no. Chelsea are a RICH club that could price everybody out of the transfer market when roman took over, nobody could compete. When it comes to developing talent, they are nowhere near the same level as any other club, the success comes down to spending big money for big transfer fees and big contracts. Yes they won the league, but look at the cost for them to do that, same as city now, a rich club.

Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool all have a reputation for combining expensive signings with young players coming through the youth system. Chelsea and City dont.

Chelsea are being punished for trying to shortcut their way through this issue, and by the sounds of it, City are not far behind.

Big club? dont make me laugh.

They are a pretty much a fecked club at the moment. With all our problems I won't like to be in their place.

Dreadful years coming up for them. They are just getting started.

This is probably about the 6th time our great decline has been predicted since 2010.

The will be allowed to buy players this coming window on appeal. The whole thing is pointless. They will have 90 days to appeal and by the time the whole process is done, the window will have closed. The are far from fecked.
Well said, it sounded too good to be true!

Surely they know for some time that they were being investigated.
Don't you think that signing Pulisic so early could have something to do with it?
As Adisa said, they have a lot of time to appeal, so I do not think they have too many problems and personally I do not think it influences the signing of Hazard.
