To be honest I think Thiago is lucky there as if Lukaku goes down he’s surely denied a clear goal scoring moment and it’s a pen and a red. From one angle for his first goal it actually looks like Thiago Silva is fouling him with the sliding, but his leg just bounces of Lukaku's shin without him even feeling the impact. Force of nature when he's on full speed, so ridiculously strong
He can't do anything else than score goals though. Any midtable striker can do that right? And who cares about goals in football, you need to have a good touch otherwise you're shite.Had more goals per minute than salah even before tonight.. Is the view still to sell him for 20m if we can even get it ?
It's a genuine attempt to play the ball and it's in the box, so it's only a yellow under the law changed a couple of seasons ago.To be honest I think Thiago is lucky there as if Lukaku goes down he’s surely denied a clear goal scoring moment and it’s a pen and a red.
I mean Lukaku does the right thing of if in doubt and you think you can score then keep going but yeah if he goes down then surely Thiago is walking.
Worst post of the year. What a muppet!!!!Doesn’t score goals against decent teams though does he? He’s the definition of a flat track bully. I’d love this to be quoted if he scores a couple against PSG - but, he won’t.
Worst post of the year. What a muppet!!!!
I would imagine they will swap through the game and depending on the opposition.Who moves out right when Martial gets back? Is it Rashford given Rom’s current form?
He just needs to put it together for an entire season now. Too many times when he's off form. Of course being out of form is fine but too many of those times. He then goes on a great run and you're left wondering how he can be such a contrast. There have been times in these 2 seasons with the club when(putting aside all talk around his technique) he has shown true leadership ability and outstanding character. Makes it strange to see the times when he comes off as listless, it must be confidence.
Rom is a great guy, tremendously likeable.
A lean Lukaku definitely does fit in. Everton played some great attacking stuff under Martinez. He however, looked absolutely huge this season, and fans' suspicions were confirmed when he said he bulked up in the Summer. He always seems to do better in the second half of a season. Did that a lot with Everton if I recall. He’s a conundrum in whether we keep him or not because he’s really risen under OGS but doesn’t fit in how we really want to play.
Mcmanaman's reaction was gold as well, was juts so disappointedThat moment when Lukaku went beast mode and broke through PSG high-press was epic. Then he gave the ball way with a dreadful pass.
He was brilliant once again tonight.
Yeah, I think that's why he'll stick around for a few years, doesn't seem the type to immediately complain if he's sometimes a bench option when Martial and Rashford are in better form, and the 3 of them and a creative RW/right sided attacking midfield type can all rotate as a front 3, with Lingard and the youth backing them up.He's not a selfish striker which is quite rare. He actually celebrates other people's goals more than his own. He comes off as very respectable in interviews.
I still want SanchoThe reason we won't get a RW.
Play with 2 strikers & let Martial, Rashford, Lukaku, Greenwood all compete for 2 positions.
We get a RW then players like him or Rashford or Martial will end up being on the bench when they don't deserve to be.
Sure & he is a good young player but he plays differently to Martial, Lukaku Rashford & Greenwood to just come in an take that RW spot. It makes one side of our attack more creative whilst the other side more clinical. That may do well or it may not.I still want Sancho
