Of course they want to beat us. Would be silly not to want that. Plenty of time to get rest too. It is not why they lost today.
Well, we will never know, but they were very tired for the last 15 minutes and all of extra time. Perhaps a few less of their first choice against United and they'd have seen it out today.

I'm delighted wolves lost though. No doubt about that.

Really don’t get comments like this. Stop acting like you can predict the future.

City have the ability to smash Wolves in the final also.
I can understand it, as Wolves have been pretty good against the best teams this year.
Pre our game with Watford, they had some shocking record way to the top guys, and I dare say not much better at home.

At least the final is after the league finishes, that's where City need to put their efforts!

Plenty of time? Tuesday to Sunday? They could have left 2-3 of their top boys totally fresh, but hey, it's their choice, and it's not paid off.

Get in, have that you game raising pricks, they had their cup final against us by not resting any players.

Well done Watford. Wolves and their fans and their manager can feck off right off!
They seemed arrogant to me when they were ole'ing at 80 minutes against us when they were 2-1 up as though they were 5-0 up playing like 1970s Brazil.

It is possible, but had they lost against us the confidence might have been lower. Watford played the best team against us too a weak ago.

We deserved to beat Wolves anyway, but we should not take out our frustration over that result on the fact that Wolves tried to beat us. Had they rested players against Liverpool we would have been angry over that.

Was hoping to see Wolves in the final (would have liked this to have been the final!) as I think they would have given City a much harder game and possibly beaten them especially as they have a decent record against big clubs and while we weren't great in the week Wolves looked very good. I didn't watch today though so maybe people feel Watford will be able to win just feel City are likely to brush them aside unfortunately but then again Brighton managed to keep it at 1-0 when they were expected to be battered.

So how do Europa placings work? Are Watford now going to get it as obviously City will get CL place and dont the FA Cup winners usually get Europa so even if Watford dont win they will still get it?

as for BT's commentary/pundits: I'm glad Hoddle recovered but he is fecking awful. possibly the worst pundit around... even making Savage half bearable!
Have you been drinking. Savage half bearable. Bloody he'll....
He is THE most self opinionated childish annoying git.
As soon as I hear his stupid voice I always turn over or switch off.

Just to illustrate how bad he is, he has to phone up his mummy during his crappy programme.

I mean. How can any channel be so unbelievably dim as to pay him to reduce their viewers/listeners.
He must be incredibly cheap thats all I can say.

RedCafe is easily one of the most rational football forums you will find, very good for level-headed discussion of football United related or otherwise. Yet its one flaw has got to be the hatred that teams like Wolves seem to inspire in many for simply having the audacity to turn up in a game of football against you  whenever a 'smaller' team beats you they seem to become despised for the next month or so and derided as 'game raising bastards'.

City will have a easy ride to the cup. Wolves were th eonly team that could have annoyed them with a little. People happy with that shouldn't be annoyed with the idea of the domestic treble

Well, the problem emerges from you thinking Caf is any rational after all.

If it was that straightforward Wolves would be in the final.
Wolves are not challenging any of the top six teams not because they can't beat nearly all of them. It's because they're pretty shit against the rest of the lower teams, as demonstrated today.

Watford are good against the mediocrity around them but shit the bed against bigger clubs. Specially deadly bigger clubs like Liverpool and City. Pep can relax and play his second XI against them now. Wouldn't have against Wolves.

This season Wolves have taken points off of Chelsea, Spurs, Man City and Arsenal. They also knocked Liverpool out of the FA cup. They may be game raisers but they're doing against all the "big" clubs.

Their cup final was Tuesday. could've rested players. Looked tired and took off 2 key men thinking the game was done and then concede last second pen. Left to run on fumes for ET and duly concede the winner. Satisfying result TBH.

It was more the fireworks and celebration as if they'd just won a cup. Add to this the Oles from the crowd after being undeservedly ahead against ten men. Delighted that it may have played some small part in their downfall today.

They get theirs next season from United. A nice 4-0 thumping at Old Trafford would be nice.

Yeah, resting players versus Manchester United at home as a newly-promoted side who's done brilliantly against the other top teams this season, with five days rest coming up, after having rested players at Burnley at the weekend. That makes sense. Of course Man United was a cup final for them. Resting players would have been nonsense.

Watford are a point behind Wolves, and City beat Wolves 3-0 in January.

Oh I thought it was a clever wind up (I actually laughed) but maybe I am giving you too much credit?
I have no idea what could be a wind up in my post. People are talking about Wolves having their cup final against Man United, I pointed out that they did it against the other so called "big" clubs as well.

Apologies then, I thought you left us out of that list on purpose. Still made me laugh though.

It was the "oles" that did it for me.

especially given the irony that it sounds like they're cheering for our manager :)

Have sympathy for Watford much more than i do for Wolves so I'm glad for them but not sure about their chances against City in the final. Wolves'd have had a much better chance i feel as they're sort of a giant-killer team this year.

Knew we would have lost today. It's just written in the stars we can't win away from home. Still a criminal decision to allow that throw-in through.

Thought so too at first but as per the rules it is legal as his foot is still on the touchline.
