I have always said that the problems at our club are not all about Mourinho. It never was all about him, although he was poor in the way he went about his work. There were other issues with Woodward and of course Pogba. But Woodward and Pogba stuck together... and Mo carried the can.

Get in Neville. Don't agree with him much but he's right and was right in most things. Have to apologize for listing him as a crap pundit.

When did Neville mention Pogba? Plenty of players he could have been talking about.

Neville isn't blaming social media.

He's saying that the problems of the mentality of some of our players are visible on social media.

Yes lets all blame Pogba will the same players who played under 4 managers keep letting us down. Pogba's form has been poor, but he's way down the list of our problems. But yeah, lets all blame Pogba, it's easy.

We know what Neville was trying to say. If you watched the interview its better than reading the text. He seemed to be referencing the type that love to build their social media brand or show off on insta-vids and posts than normal.

But he didn't talk just about social media as the sole reason - he was just saying "You know which ones I mean". To be fair we all do. It's obvious.

"Jose Mourinho, the fans stuck with him, but wanted him out in the end. They are not going to turn on Ole Gunner Solskjaer.

."
Should read the comments of a lot of drones on here !!

This.

I sort of suggested this from Pogba and got shat on for it. Maybe Neville and I are both wrong.

Ask 100 people.. name a Man Utd player on social media. 70 will say Pogba
That is so dumb. 99 would say Mata....and he wasn't even playing. Yeah 100 people named Souness would probably say Pogba. The 70 people who have that constant Pogba agenda would of course say Pogba.

He's not the only player on social media.

Thanks for clarifying. So that means Lingard, Pogba, anyone else?
Rashford is fairly active too. I follow a lot of them but these three are who I see the most. A lot of the other players, Mata, herrera for example, seem like they have some social media person making generic posts so I wouldn’t count them.

You’re misinterpreting him. He’s not saying social media use is causing poor performances. He’s basically trying to point out the toxic players without explicitly naming names. So when he says they’re on social media, we know who he’s referring to. Pogba, Rashford, Lingard immediatly come to mind. Could very well include others too, mind.
I didn't misinterpret him. I wish he'd have the balls to say names because I'm pretty sure our entire team is on social media. It's easy to point fingers out without saying names. Very cowardly done

He literally didn't mention names, its not just one or two of them, its most of them.

Remember Cantona couldn't get a game for France. But he cared about the club and cared about his performance for our team.
I hope that he doesn't remember because Cantona played regularly for France even though he had a terrible attitude and insulted the national manager.

There’s a reason the likes of Madrid and Barca want De Gea and Pogba. They are better clubs than us and want them.

Does anyone think a half decent side would want Jones/Smalling/Young etc?

The best teams in the world don't compromise. They have players with both.
Exactly. Pogba might be world class, but whats the point when he doesnt bother his arse most the time? Martial might have all the promise in the world but whats the point when he wont push himself to grow? Too much money being thrown at players. They all think they've made it and dont need to try any more. Lingard, pogba, martial, should be out the door long before anyone else. let pogba go to madrid and see how far that attitude of his gets him there.

Pogba, no matter how good a player he is, is like a cancer at this club and he needs cutting out and removing.

He just isnt a United player plain and simple.

Thats not a slant against his ability, or as a person, its just that we dont build teams around the **** of personality, and thats what he is, and thats what he encourages.
agree but I'd get yourself a metal helmet pal because you are likely to get a shitload of abuse

he's trying not to get sued so he's talking about those tooting their own horns
Idk if it’s a matter of getting sued, but more so trying to say something without dropping bombs to the media and stirring up an even bigger shitshow than currently.

Pogba is toxic with his greedy agent.
He was also constantly courting RM and us while he was still at Juventus.

We put too much on Pogba and I don't get why he's the only player who we expect to step his game up. People make it sound like we're a one-man club at times.
It's all about expectations.
McTominay we applaud for a couple of sideways passes and the odd tackle, but Pogba has to do way more as even a baseline.

I agree with him. Though, Gary, why don’t you fecking tweet or do something about it? I’m pretty sure you’d have support in their millions.
It's his usual blaming of the players routine, never the manager.
If he had his way, Moyes would still be here.

Pogba has been poor but there are so many shit players in the club that need to be booted out before him. Jones, Smalling, Young, Mata, Lukaku, Lingard, Martial, Matic, Rashford, Darmian, Sanchez all need to be moved on before Pobga. Pogba is the only decent player in the club. I dont understand why Pogba is slated after every game.

I don’t think Neville was necessarily having a pop at players being on social media... more like it was his way of “naming names” without coming out and saying it..

the difference between him and Ronaldo (who is hardly out of the headlines are of the screen) is huge.People say Pogba is world class but ronaldo delivers again and again, week after week, season after season

Our obsession with blaming Pogba for all of our problems is weird.
It's the single most irritating thing on the café amongst a sea of options.

Pogba goes, you lose your one world class outfielder, and have an even sillier rebuilding job.

I don't follow any of our players on social media so I wouldn't want to say who he's talking about specifically.

But if Pogba demonstrates a lack of focus on the game and professionalism on his social media, then that's what Neville is referencing. If that's not him, we can stop mentioning his name.

People want it to be about Pogba and he may well be one of the ones Neville is referring to, but there are players in this team that have less talent who also don't work hard, he's not alone, and as far as the back pages go, Lukaku and his agent have taken up some inches themselves over the last few weeks. I don't think a singular player is the issue, and it's not just workrate, it's the lack of talent that is an issue as well.

I bet he would like to say names but imagine if he did and the further shit it would stir up. Just too much controversy that would be in the papers over and over again with his face on it. I can see why he went at it indirectly. And also, he’s referring to the ones so actively engaged on social media. Valencia is on social media too but he’s not on the level of Pogba or Lingard for example.

Would we make our money back on Pogba?
Probably make a small profit on him too if we played Madrid and PSG against each other.

It's not all Pogba though. Some of the other players were jogging about too. Just look at all our defense on the Sigurdsson goal. Embarrasing.

It's so bizarre. Jose did a great a job with making Pogba look like the bad guy. Played under tough managers and no issues with him and now he's the problem.
