Tim Sherwood on Talksport this morning saying we need to place the future of the club in the hands of young players like Rashford and Lingard. Lingard who is 27 in December. Why do people still think he's a young player? It's like a bizarre other-universe!

It's just him. He's always been fiercely loyal to Atletico, even criticized Griezmann when the latter deliberated a move away. I never expected him to leave.
I think as a club they have created a great family atmosphere. Even Griezmann, who's not an academy kid had a heavy heart about leaving and stayed two summers straight when he seemed a goner. Oblak just extended too. Living in Madrid is probably very appealing too.

Yeah I kinda agree. With Moyes everyone thought it was a one off now it looks we've cemented our place as nothing but top 4 contenders. I trust Ole though, he was the sort of character missing from the club.

I can't see why he and Pogba can't play together. Pogba's problem lie with Pogba himself, not with who we play alongside him. If it's possible to sign Eriksen, we have to do everything in our power to sign him.

I too can only see Eriksen here with Pogba leaving, Madrid will not go for both Pogba and Eriksen together.
Pogba would likely replace Modric / Kroos in a deeper midfield role with Isco in front of him. They have Casemiro which is why a deep lying role for Pogba would work because he could bomb forward.
