United against the top teams at OT this season

    0-3 Spurs
    0-0 Valencia
    0-1 Juventus
    2-2 Arsenal
    0-2 PSG
    0-0 Liverpool
    0-1 Barcelona
    0-2 Man City

No wins in 8. Managed to muster a pathetic 2 goals against a shite Arsenal. Toothless against everyone else.
    Fecking christ that's depressing.

I don't believe we can claw back the goal difference. Would gladly take a one-goal win today and hope Chelsea draw one. Doesn't seem unlikely the way the top-4 contenders are playing.

Thanks, now I know we will win this one, and a big win too.

I would play Romero in net, he's arguably the best no2 GK in the world and deserves to get a game after De Gea's recent performances.

For defense, we are pretty useless, so might as well give Bailly and Rojo a turn, at least it will be a RCB and LCB partnership. LB is Shaw by default as we have no other LBs. Dalot as RB, lesser of 3 evils.

Midfield, I think we should just play Herrera, Matic and Pogba with Mata playing just in front as a no10

2 forwards? Not Martial, Lingard, Rashford or Lukaku. I am sick of them. I'd give Sanchez and Greenwood together a go.

Doesn't really matter because our squad is completely unbalanced and lacking in quality. Wasting my Sunday thinking about broken United

Win or go home. Arsenal is giving 4th away but I think we'll just be too... much of the same to take advantage.

How many chances do we need? Beat Chelsea and there's always a chance of us catching up the goal difference left after today's game.

    Do or die.

It's going to be so disappointing and so fecking typical if we fail to win this. We are being given every opportunity to get that effin' CL spot.

Does no one want 4th place! After our incredible start to get close to it, our rivals have turned to the dogs and we cannot capitalise.

    We must capitalise today!

The United players better understand; today's game is a CL final. Hell, a WORLD CUP final. Not any ol' EPL game. If we go level with Chelsea, we got 2 "easy" games left to close out the season while Chelsea still has Watford and Leicester, not as "easy".

Almost like players will feel the physical strain of a long and though season, and immense pressure to get to top4. Everyone are fumbling matchballs left and right these days, its not just us. Everyone are sucking excpet for City and Liverpool who are just in another league currently.

Have to give it to Wolverhampton though, easily team of the season for me.
I think Liverpool and City have been doing it too, just they seem to battle to wins as they are better than the rest.
Wolves are decent, but seem to be game raisers, they struggle to up their game, I think Watford have been excellent personally.

What happens if we finish level on points and goal difference with Arse and Chelsea and one of the latter two win the Europa ?

after points and goal difference, it's (i believe) goal scored then head to head. and if that fails, i think that there's a game between the teams in .... is this a real question haha ?

We better show up today. Failing to win would be one thing. Failing to look real hungry and determined to do well would be another.

Yeah, if we can win today by any means then it is possible Chelsea drop points in one of their remaining games. Both Watford and Leicester are two of the best teams from the 7th place contenders. The defeat to Everton - and the manner of it - frustrates me. A draw and we wouldn't need Chelsea to drop points in one of their last two games, plus our goal difference would be close to the two teams immediately above us.

What an opportunity. Everyone is falling over themselves to hand each other chances to qualify for the CL.

We simply have to win today.

If we win today, Chelsea might put all their eggs in the Europa League basket and in spite of everything allow Ole to finish the season on a successful note.

But I have no faith in this team caring about any of that.

An absolute must win game for us if we want to finish top 4 this season but knowing this bunch of players, not getting my hopes up as we probably will get a draw or maybe drop points in the remaining two games.

I hope Ole makes the players realise how important this game is though. Beat Chelsea and be level on points with them. Now, Arsenal've lost to Leicester as well and get ahead of them also. Spurs lost yesterday too and still have to go to Bournemouth and play with Everton. We probably have the easiest games (on paper at least) in the final two weeks out of these 4 teams. We've done the hard work and got ourselves in the contention for top 4 - even for a third place- after an awful half of season but our form has dipped in the last two months (after Crystal Palace away imo not PSG). We always make it hard for ourselves so not surprised with this tbh.

Ole probably should drop De Gea and give Romero a chance (and he should've done it long before today tbh) but seems this will not happen for the rest of the season as he said it in his press conference. Also keep Matic away from the starting 11 and start McTominay. Maybe also give Alexis a chance.

Dont think theyd do that. Itd be Arsenal in the final, so it might just be as easy to win 2 x League games more.

We are in such a bad form at the moment, I'm not confident at all.

I don't think the the players will be bothered too.
