How does Betis compare to Liverpool when it comes to attack? Barca could very well handle the press but could they handle Liverpool's front 3?
Its really cute that we're being compared with Betis and Eibar on Redcafe.

Because they press too, innit.

This Liverpool side is not about the pressing but about finding the empty space behind the defensive line of the opposition and then exploit it with quick combinations of the front three.. Thats why they use a lot of long balls in their build up. I can clearly see that they can do it gainst this version of Barca but i have doubts about Liverpool's defensive abilities and if they can to sit back for a long periods of the game..

Very defensive line up from us. Don’t think we should have dropped TAA.
Klopp seems to do it a lot against the more attacking teams (e.g. City earlier this year) and I don't think it works at all, you lose a lot of the attack from the full backs.

Bit of a weird lineup from Liverpool imo, if Mane and Salah aren't playing out wide that's most of the attack gone. Should've just played the normal lineup and gone toe to toe, this Barca side aren't as good as they once were, especially defensively.

Barca at home, think they need to win by a couple. Otherwise if it's just 1 goal, I would probably have Liverpool as favourites to turn it around at Anfield if it comes to that.

Guessing 2-0 Barca, both from Messi.

Maybe Klopp thinks they should just play for the draw or a 1-0 or 2-1 loss away and without Firmino, and it will be 3-5-2 with Fabinho at wingback on Alba and Salah and Mane free up top, normal 3 in the middle situation.

surprised at that line up, Liverpool have the firepower to hurt them right from the kick off. That's a good Barca team, but it's certainly beatable. I find when the likes of Pep or Klopp deviate from their A game, it doesn't always work out for them. I'd fight fire with fire here if I were them, an away goal would be huge.

I really belive pool will give barca massive problems. Dijk will have Messi in he's pocket. And there attack will be to swift. Ouch.

Yeah it’s been an annoyance for me especially as the one away game which he didn’t pick a conservative line up we actually won. Oh well can’t complain with the season so far really but i don’t see why we do it. As long as we go in to the second leg still in it I’ll be happy enough but if TAA and Firmino were playing I’d be much more confident.

Doubt it. Suarez, Messi, Coutinho. It takes one of these guys to have a good game for Liverpool to lose. I believe two of them will have good games (Likely Coutinho and Messi). Liverpool will make a game of it but I think Barca takes the tie. 3-1 in Spain, 1-1 in Liverpool.

If It’s a 352 I expect Milner at right back. Klopp always trusts him there and Fabinho is to important in th middle.

Wouldn’t actually mind to see a 352 with Fabinho and winjaldum in the center with Keita in front of them.

But I’m also not thrilled to see experimenting against Barcelona.

Just hoping that for the first time ever Messi is quiet. Doesn’t matter how well we play if he is on form we lose.

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Liverpool fans in acting like morons abroad shocker.

Did this just happen?
He's already been named and the pic of the alleged guy does look the spit (no offence Carra) of fountain guy. Apparently good mates with the guy who's the head of Club and Supporter Liaison at LFC. Hopefully club check/ban.

Amazing in an age of social media that fans (all clubs) continue to act like dickheads and don't see what'll happen?

Looking at the lineups I fancy Barca to win it 3-1. Not having Firmino is huge. He's their best playmaker and presses the best out of the front 3. I think Barcelona will dominate possession, and Liverpool won't have the same level of fluidity without Firmino and TAA.

Tight game. Either Barca win by a goal, but i think this will be a draw. Liverpool will smash them at Anfield anyway. Barca need a two goal margin at least, i dont see it

No Arthur, no Dembele. With that midfield this is gonna be a safe and slow from Barca. Same thing for Pool, pretty conservative lineup.

All the fawning is coming from the United fans.

The Liverpool fans have been, as they usually are on this forum, relatively downbeat about their chances.
Yeah, I just found it weird that he apparently had seen all these Liverpool fans who were sure that we’d beat them when I haven’t seen a single one doing that.

Either way, I’m getting more and more nervous. With Firmino out and Gomez at right back, I can’t see us getting a point. Just hope we get an away goal.
