feck this fecking shithouse clubInterview up on the club website.

And that tweet sums up his shortsightedness. A team that is in a rebuilding phase can't afford to let 6/10 players go for free because these players don't actually grow on trees. The money invested in replacing him will not be invested in the 8/10 players who will most likely not be interested in joining a team that doesn't have 6/10 players to support him and make his job easier.Think this is harsh and I see him more as a 7/10 player who at least puts in the effort and seems to care about the result, but the point still stands.

Never said that i dont understand that view of things, when it comes to giving Young/Jones etc new contracts for X amount and when it was AH turn they said "Woah woah, hold on a minute, thats a lot, not worth it, we cant offer that"200k is too much. No one is arguing against that. What people are arguing against is that they sort out contracts for trash players and let him go on a free.
It's rumoured to be 200k.....because PSG don't have to pay 30-35 million transfer fee.
We royalled fecked this contract up. And as others have highlighted, we wasn't a priority to move on. The players we gave new contracts to ARE priorities to move on.
ExactlyProblem is Daniel that we have a lot of 4 or 5/10 players still here. So 6/10 is good for us.
It's sad reallyRenew Young, Smalling, Jones, Lingard, Rojo.. and let this guy walk for free. UNITED
In loved him as a player, he has walked out on us. He should be given no send off.Don't get why the club are making a spectacle of this.
I am still fuming that Lindelof was trying to rally the troops last weekend, while our so called captain just stood there doing nothing.Exactly
He might not be as gifted as Pogba but at least Herrera cares and gives 100% every time he steps on the pitch. Can't ever question Herrera's attitude or commitment
Damage control by the club.SS said:Don't get why the club are making a spectacle of this
I presume Pogba and DDG are world class, but at the moment that is even open to debate. World class to me is consistent performances. Not a super show now and again. World class gets thrown around too easily.
Even worse then.Less after he signed his contract then before.
Yeah, it's a bit much. He's leaving the club for nothing in his prime and he's not exactly a legend.Don't get why the club are making a spectacle of this.
Yep.Agreed. Pogba thinks he's world class but hes miles away.
DDG was but hes fallen away this year.
He can make it back but I'm not sure Pogba will ever be as good as he thinks he is.
The sheer hypocrisy of this. We sign mercenaries. It's what we've become. Di Maria, Falcao, Sanchez, Fred etcWhat a load of bollocks. Why not stay then? Mercenary.
I agree with you to some extent. To an extent yes, but I also think it reflects badly on the maturity level of the players if they’re constantly comparing their wages to Sanchez.
They should be able to recognise that as a freak situation where he seems ridiculously overpaid in hindsight, but only because he’s declined more suddenly and to a greater degree than Fernando Torres (I know his last season at Arsenal wasn’t great but didn’t appear indicative of long-term decline at the time).
We offered star player money at the time and can’t just lower them now that he’s turned out to be such a flop.
If there’s only one year left on his contract (unsure on this) and Alexis doesn’t wish to move due to his wages, it wouldn’t surprise me if we pay off the circa £26M left on his contract simply to re-establish a fairer wage structure in the long-term (which will be worth much more in the long run in both financial and squad morale terms. Plus assist with contract negotiations for incoming transfers, especially when it comes to the biggest names.
I agree with this, he is a player we should be keepingAnd that tweet sums up his shortsightedness. United fan who loves writing about how amazing City are. When Jose was getting results was writing tripe about the style of football. A wolf in sheep's clothing if ever there was one.Utd fan and football journalist of some depth. Usually balanced with his opinions too so surprises me he's slating Herrera. Think it's because the ethics of PSG reflect poorly on Andrea's choice.
Propaganda to show everything is well and healthy at the club.Don't get why the club are making a spectacle of this.
Agreed. Woody and the Glazer's are the ones responsible for all the crap.Best thing match going fans can do tomorrow is sing his name over and over and also give Woodward loads of grief.
We need glazer and Woodward out chants tomorrow. They need to know this isn't acceptable. They are ruining the club.
He is certainly no Roy Keane.Personally I'm not fussed at all that he's leaving. Never was nearly good enough.
Eh? He's easily good enough. You don't have to be stellar names to be a good team. Liverpool don't really have a single big name midfielder and look at them go.Personally I'm not fussed at all that he's leaving. Never was nearly good enough.
Wow. Delusion. One of the few players that actually shows tenacity, movement, bite, and effort. Keeps our midfield ticking and it's clear we perform so much better with him. Matic is the one that needed to be let go. Is Ander the best midfielder in the world? No. Is he one of the most important players to us? Yes.Glad to see him go.
Had way too many weaknesses to his game that was hidden by his effort for running after everyone when he or someone else would lose the ball.
A new era.
Daniel Taylor being a run of the mill reporter? Really?Christ, every run-of-the-mill reporter is an opinionist these days...
Indeed. The guy's just gone off radar since the PSG opportunity. It's absolutely bizzare that the club is making him seem look like a legend whereas Valencia is seemingly getting shunted out with nothing.
Valencia has been a better player and servant for United than Herrera.
Herrera is more popular currently. They also wanted Herrera to stay, while Valencia has been barely seen this season. At the end, it is just PR to calm down the fans and give them a goodbye from a player most wanted to stay, while clearly knowing most fans will blame Ed and the club. It's absolutely bizzare that the club is making him seem look like a legend whereas Valencia is seemingly getting shunted out with nothing.

In your dreams. No bloody chance.Verratti please
