Jesus Christ. Utterly abysmal.

It feels like this entire season was a practical joke. Are we still going to have trolls trying to defend this writing?

Mods, please edit the end of the title to reflect that, ‘We shall never see its like again.’

Pretty sure that was foreshadowed previously...

Pretty much. It’s been that way for a while.

Show clearly got worse but the people so invested in it that get so over the top mad about it are hilarious.

First 30 minutes of this was actually very good. Trial scene and small council scene were crap with some bad logic. Then the ending was good and gave satisfactory endings to most characters.

Not great but you’d think it’s the worst episode of television ever made
It was dreadful. Beginning part was good until the death scene and then it was massively downhill from there to the point it will rightfully be favourite for worst finale ever produced.

Trolls or people with incredibly bad taste. Can’t tell at this point.

Fair to say that this might be equal to the Lost season finale?

That was comically bad. Seriously seriously bad. Horrendous way to end the show and I've tried to defend the show as a spectacle, rather than a story telling classic that it was once lauded for. Well, no amount of spectacle can defend that end and pretty much this season.

Well done D&D, for turning what could have been a proper masterpiece in the history of television to a shambles.

Exacly this. Thougt the pacing seemed so weird again. First half was like... feck we ll have Tyrion and Jon chat for 10 mins.. No sweat. This is just another episode right? Second half of the episode: aaaaahhh we re running out of time!! Quick. Just make some shit up in the least satisfying way possible.

That was seriously shite... to wit:

1) How did Jon get away with killing Dany? Grey Worm would have killed him on the spot!
2) That council scene... Grey Worm is just letting his prisoner accused of treason pick the next king, haha.
3) Sansa obtains independence for the North, but Yara and Dorne are cool with being part of the 7 (6) Kingdoms? Huh?
4) Jon has to be punished because the Unsullied commander said so. Then the Unsullied went to Naath, but John still has to take the black as punishment? Why? I mean his brother is Bran the King, his sister is Sansa the Queen surely he don't have to go on exile to satisfy some dickless army that fecked off to some island.
5) And the feck is the Night’s Watch supposed to even be doing?

D&D fecked that show in the ass.

What a bunch of wet blankets! 9.75/10 for me!

Dany got her comeuppance. Jon is where he belongs. Bran is king. Starks rule. Arya the Explorer. Sansa queen of the independent north. Tyrion hand of the king and bantering around the small council table. Ghost gets his snuggles. Jamie gets his chapter finished.

Amazing writing. Hats off to HBO and GRRM.

Okay I've been a big defender of the show but that ending was utter shit.

I woke up accidentally at half five and had the choice between sleeping, or watching the finale before work.

I made the wrong choice.

First impression is that I enjoyed the episode.

No doubt my mind might change once I start thinking about it and its been nit-picked to death.

Fair fecks to him for at least trying for it. Man's got ambition.
Him and Sansa the true winners. I got 10k men killed while I hid in a crypt, so let me be queen.

At least Bran put himself in the firing line.

I really am not one for nit picking but how does Jon even survive the throne room? Grey worm or the dothraki, they're not known for taking prisoners. They literally executed the queen's enemies 20 minutes before that scene.

In the pit, Yara and Dorne do not ask for independence? Wtf?

No one at least makes the claim that Jon should be king because he's the true heir? Have it rejected but someone mention it ffs.

“Still have trolls trying to defend this writing”

Seems like your writing isn’t better than D&D’s if you label anyone who didn’t hate episode 5 as a troll. I agree that there’s basically nothing to like about episode 6. But that doesn’t retrospectively turn commenters for episode 5 into trolls.

I liked episode 5 and I stated that in here. I stand by it, that as a single episode, to me it was good television.

The rest of the season however, and especially episode 6...holy crap. Episode 6 must be one of the worst finales ever. Almost everything was horribly bad. I watched it at 7am before going to work, so I wouldn’t get spoilered, as I couldn’t have watched it after work either. 7 isn’t thaaat bad of a time to get up. But it probably would’ve been better to just turn around in bed a couple more times.

It was a disaster of epic proportions. Big let down, almost feel silly for sitting though all of it

At least the Dothraki had a laugh. Just bowled over and did loads of battling.

They’ll never be scared of crossing the sea again.
