The average person isn't aware of these issues too though. That's what I had meant in the earlier post you quoted. Whilst I agree about different priorities but things like climate change will affect everyone and there's no initiative by the country's leadership to create real awareness about it, despite India due to its population being one of the major producers of carbon emissions.
I agree that people need to be aware, it's a massive issue.

What many liberals are missing is that people don't really care of climate change if they have trouble feeding their family and keeping them healthy. The mid-west lost a lot of jobs in mining etc and overall quality of life has become worse for them due to the go green.Rather than actively helping them find alternate solutions, just pushing green agenda will only alienate those population. Same parallels happen in India too.

Doesn't explain/excuse voting for a terror and a rape accused though. so there's that.
Pragya does not represent whole BJP does she. Yes, her winning is a shock but opposite to her is another fraudster in Digvijay. He is not a saint either, is he. It is called poor planning and congress have done that.

I don't know why anti BJP or congress supporting people are having this much difficulty in admitting the fact that people don't like Rahul. You put Lallu against Rahul and even Lallu might win, thats how bad Rahul's image is in public.

Oh absolutely. But in India there is no awareness of the issue at all. And it is the responsibility of the country's leadership to take this initiative but it doesn't seem to appear anywhere in their agenda. That's my issue.

You are alleging a woman raping a man . Secondly, she was framed and evicted by the court. People have rejected luteyns gang version. If she is guilty no one is stopping anyone from going to higher court.

If you even field a donkey against digvijay guy in that state he would have won from that state.

Why is the concept of a woman raping a man funny?

Not sure what you are arguing or defending here. If a mob decides to lynch someone, does that make it correct - just because "majority" of the people chose that direction? And "elitists, pseudo-intellects/seculars, khan market, award wapsi" gang should keep mum because "majority"...
No, you don't call yourself the messiah or the balanced one just because you are one of the minority. This whole idea of "I am right and the rest are idiots for voting someone else to power" smacks of this same elitist crap which I have had a problem with for so frickin long. Sure you may have a differing view, but when 50% of India vote for one particular ideology and you call them "politically illiterate", then you will be rightly called out as a moron for it.

We have our first victim of propaganda here. Applause.
Judges, and 800k plus of her voters can not be accused of being a victim of a planted propaganda. She didn't win on her face, but on PM 's candidate which is true to an extent, what people care about is development and not a scamster fraud who fools the people of the country, if she doesn't deliver she won't last as well, voters intelligence can not be doubted and handed over the certificate of people being not secular anymore.

do explain how the likes of Gambhir and Surya are winning with 0 credentials while the likes of Marlena are losing who actually has a track record of her work.
Just like AAP won with an agenda against the corrupt, and then was desperate to ally with those corrupt themselves, the voters called the bluff of that party's intention and credibility and gave their mandate to him with a view of his good intentions.

She's out on bail, mate. A bail for which she submitted false documents. The case against her is still on-going. But kudos for ignoring all that and defending her

As I said, Hindu terrorism is normalized now.

Good lad for supporting a terror accused. When are you starting celebrations for Godse?
Now where do godse come into it justifying that ridiculous theory? Gandhi was a Hindu, godse was a hindu and than an assassin. How does an assassin is called as a Hindu terrorist for killing a Hindu itself? :lol:Ridiculous desperation of pusedo liberals trying to play minority appeasement politics trying to garner votes under the garb of secularism and fake fear mongerning.Their bluff has been called by the mandate.

The majority of victims of Islamic terror are Muslims. The majority of victims of terror in Northern Ireland would most likely have self identified as Christian too.

Your reasoning makes literally no sense.

Didn't see these vote shares coming at all.

Some seem surreal to me.

At the end Bjp succeeded again in making it presidential vs all. While others were still banking on series of state elections formula.

Don't make this a debate about the one dubious candidate, even if Sadhvi Pragya was ejected NDA would still have 351 seats. Massive victory, never have so many people have had the same opinion in the history of mankind. Respect the verdict.

Well yeah but likes of pragya thakur and adityanath all, sakshi maharaj were parto verdict also.

Let's not normalize pragya thakur cause people voted for her party either.

Elections don't decide right or wrong. Biggest problem facing opposition right now is media. They tried to counter with few rival channels before elections but was too late. They need to focus channels to create onslaught on govt for anything minor wrong.

Mountains were made out of molehills in support of govt. That along with 20 to 1 money power needs to be overcome as it fuels public opinion.

Btw, Orrisa is interesting.

Despite 5 term anti incumbency bjp could not grow as fast as in Bengal there with all efforts and money they poured in.

Why? Because there is no minority population in orrisa to polarize against and that's how bjp grows.

Exactly. Nothing to do with actual governance of both states. After all they are governed in exactly the same manner by parties which follows the same ideology.

Or maybe that's because Patnaik is an excellent CM who does brilliant work?

@Moonred @digitalnirvana are both from Bengal. Why don't you ask them about how has Mamta Banerjee been?

Punjab and Orissa both went against BJP. Is it really a surprise that where there are strong leaders, the BJP has failed to prosper?

Patrick is really confirming all the stereotypes for a modi supporter.
Indeed. The same tired stuck in the dark ages rhetoric you get from these Modi worshipers.

For what it's worth, I have less of an issue with Modi being India's choice for PM as I do with the complete ignorance from the majority of the majority of this country on the pitfalls of him and his party, merely because he has prioritized them.

Think for Orissa he's right, and for Punjab you're right. Additionally for Punjab, Captain didn't allow BJP to spread their nationalism crap. He put forward his own brand of that stuff.

The captain should really be leading the congress. It'll never happen ofcourse.

And despite 5 terms, orrisa isn't greatly governed either. And amongst the poorer states.

Bjp has managed to recruit many Cong and bjp leaders as well.

5 terms as cm now and orrisa is largely a poor state and underdeveloped. Not sure what great work he has done to merit that? Okay he may not be bad but he keeps getting reelected because his party apparatus is strongest plus he controls media mostly.

If electorate could have been polarized he would have been thrown out by now. No doubt.

As for Punjab it is a Sikh dominated state, so a minority state to begin with. Also akalis are unpopular after past terms. And even there on more Hindu dominated seats where bjp contested they have done better if you see.

Amarinder himself hasn't done any great work there in his past term or this term but is still riding on coming to power and AAP infighting. Also Modi is unpopular there actually amongst some sections.

I agree as a face he would be better but like Rg he ain't a full time politician either.

Bjp top brass are different level in that regard.

Someone like amarinder would need a strategic head like prashantnkishor and team around.

Well for one his disaster management has been top class. Orissa are regularly ravaged by Cyclones etc and yet the loss of human life isn't much because Patnaik runs a right ship there.

Btw, also analyse issues raised and type of speeches given by Bjp leaders including Amit shah and modi in West Bengal and orrisa and contrast them you'll get answer. Or any other part...

That's always how bjp has grown in new areas from 2 seats. They tried their luck with sabarimala and other things in Kerala too.
