Have you got adventure sync turned on ? If not turn it on and put magikarp as your walking buddy, trust me you will get to 400 candies in no time.

I've not found a single shiny so far. I'd love to get the 15 rare candies and 50k stardust but don't think I've ever made it to 50km in a week - on 17.1km for the current one. My Adventure Sync is on but don't know if there's anything else I need to do to be sure it works.

They're random when you catch them and can't be changed. I think pokemon hatched from an egg on average have higher values, but IVs are as important as you want them to be. If you want the strongest pokemon then they matter but if not, then they don't. I caught that snubbull in the wild.
I just sent you a friend request @Damien i don't pass too many pokestops so don't send me any gifts, i will just send gifts to you whenever i get them.

Annoying that the 50km has to be on adventure sync. Does it not count if you're actually playing the game?

Basically all you have to do is make sure Adventure Sync is enabled before the rewards are given out and as long as you've gone 50km in game you're fine.

You walk 50km whilst playing ? Christ, I'm lucky to get to 25km on the sync.
Cheers Damien, i will send them whenever i get them. You don't seem to get them from every pokestop that you spin anymore which is quite annoying.

Eggs and raid pokemon are minimum 70% IV.
I figured it was something like that but didn't have the exact numbers to hand. I think research pokemon generally have good IVs too.

Same as far as I know. Think Lucky Pokemon from trade's are a minimum of 80% but I may be wrong.

I had a great run of luck with trading earlier. Got a lucky 96% Kyogre, 100% normal ralts (god knows what the odds of that are on a trade!) and an 89% lucky larvitar

I'm two days away from being ultra with @Mystry. I'm up for the coordinating - how does it work? And what is the XP for becoming ultra friends (doubles with lucky egg, right?)

A Pokemon's IV will be randomized on trade. IV floor is determined by your friendship level.
- Good Friends - minimum 1/1/1 IVs
- Great Friends - minimum 2/2/2 IVs
- Ultra Friends - minimum 3/3/3 IVs
- Best Friends - minimum 5/5/5 IVs
For coordinating, just arrange with the other person to turn your lucky egg on at the same time and then open their gift.
50k XP for becoming ultra so 100k with a lucky egg on. It's crazy amounts of XP really, so it's worth doing. It used to be much harder to level up before they introduced it.

I'm about halfway through right now, so with 4 friends close to ultra, if I can coordinate with some of them and evolve the caterpies, weedles etc that I've stocked up, that'll get me up a couple of levels.With you being level 40, does the XP count for anything, or are you hoping that if they eventually add more levels, the extra XP will count towards those?
I always mass evolve with the remainder of the lucky egg timer too. You can also save stuff like the xp rewards from the mew and other quests for when your lucky egg is on.Thank you! That is the same XP as going from level 22 to 23

Good job you guys mentioned this or else I would of just opened the gifts. Got a few pokemon I can evolve too so I can do those at the same time.
Good point - search term "evolves" will just list the pokemon who you have enough candy to evolve for anyone who doesn't know - I'm sure you do.

- Earn 5 Candies walking with your buddy (2000 XP - A Mythical Discovery)
- Evolve 20 Pokemon (2000 XP - A Mythical Discovery (I can do this after using the lucky egg))
- Power up Pokemon 5 times (1000 XP - A Ripple in Time)
- Battle in a Gym 2 times (1000 XP - A Ripple in Time)
- Battle in a raid (1000 XP - A Ripple in Time)
- Earn 5 Candies walking with your buddy (2000 XP - Let's GO, Meltan)

I think chua is elmo. If Cheesecake is from the caf, then I reckon they're @Scarlett Dracarys if she's still playing. She posted in this thread three years ago and used to be from around the area the gifts are coming from.
