People still twisting regarding our transfers, after all these post SAF years, bit surprised there is this strong belief that certain players would change our fortune. In current state and way of doing things, nothing will change regardless who we get in.

I think van der Sar (or some Ajax higher-up) was quoted saying it'd be around €70-80M and they wouldn't stand in his way. He just needs to agree the club.

It was on, off, on again. Just because we don’t follow Madrid’s transfers as closely as ours it may seem that it was smooth sailing, but in reality it wasn’t, regardless of if they’ve signed a player before us.
