We cannot compete with Real Madrid for players. We need to be realistic or we'll spend the summer chasing shadows. So that's Hazard, Mendy & Jovic...
3 players we could also have used.
Can't wait for a first signing to get some positive news. That or shifting out deadwood like alexis, darmian, bailly, jones,...
In his dream world, Ed is still waiting for someone to bid upwards of 15 million for the likes of Darmian and Rojo. In the meantime, he is probably haggling over a few million for our targets.Oh so the transfer window is actually open then with Jovic joining Madrid. I thought it was still closed judging by the lack or urgency from us in both recruiting and shifting out the garbage.
Absolutely. If they don't get the recruitment right this summer, there needs to be a serious EdOut campaign. In his dream world, Ed is still waiting for someone to bid upwards of 15 million for the likes of Darmian and Rojo. In the meantime, he is probably haggling over a few million for our targets.
If he fecks up this summer, the fans should really let him have it. Things are getting way out of hand.
Wouldn't make any sense at all, unless we move him to RW or sell Shaw.Unless we sell Dalot
Let's calm down a bit. We're only <insert as applicable> weeks into the transfer window. In his dream world, Ed is still waiting for someone to bid upwards of 15 million for the likes of Darmian and Rojo. In the meantime, he is probably haggling over a few million for our targets.

Danny Higginbotham has apparently told TalkSport that we will have to sell before buying expensive players! So more than likely even players like Daniel James at 15 million will be drawn out saga! Not sure how Higginbotham knows thoughOh so the transfer window is actually open then with Jovic joining Madrid. I thought it was still closed judging by the lack or urgency from us in both recruiting and shifting out the garbage.
They are ran for the team to be the most successful it can be. Making money is a distant second to them.Real Madrid have one off season after winning 4 champions leagues in 5 seasons and immediately make multiple world class signings.
If it all goes south for Ole...Tweet

Honigstein, so probably Bayern, possibly Liverpool.Tweet

Wonder who the other club is?
Top European club? Surely rules us out then.Tweet

Interesting. Also, based on Twitter replies I feel like a few people are reading this wrong.Tweet

We can not compete because we are being run by clowns who don't give a rats a** for being the best team since glazer ownership. We cannot compete with Real Madrid for players. We need to be realistic or we'll spend the summer chasing shadows.
I was listening to that this morning, he didn’t say that. He basically said Ole needs the support to clear out and bring in players for his system. He was giving his own opinion regardless.Danny Higginbotham has apparently told TalkSport that we will have to sell before buying expensive players! So more than likely even players like Daniel James at 15 million will be drawn out saga! Not sure how Higginbotham knows though
Bingo. That he's apparently said it to more than one club shows that the statement said isn't true.Interesting. Also, based on Twitter replies I feel like a few people are reading this wrong.
He's told two sides that they're the only club he wants to join. This means that there could be more clubs he has told this to, it doesn't narrow it down to two clubs. The tweet just highlights the fact that Riaola is playing ball.

Ajax will let him go for a reasonable fee.I gather the fee involved with De Ligt is set in stone ?
Its the one element in the deal no one seems to be talking about.
I think van der Sar (or some Ajax higher-up) was quoted saying it'd be around €70-80M and they wouldn't stand in his way. He just needs to agree the club.I gather the fee involved with De Ligt is set in stone ?

He's good but he's no "Rashy".Can't believe we weren't in for Jović.
That’s been happening a lot for the past decade, nothing new.Every single decent player we've been linked with has city also linked with them within a matter of days later.
I don't believe a feck coming out of this source. They have been reporting all sorts of sh!te throughout this summer, all based on their own assumptions, or just copy-pasting what other outlets are reporting.Tweet

We weren't?Can't believe we weren't in for Jović.
Said what ?But...But, one of the Reddit ITKs said...
How do you know we weren’t?Can't believe we weren't in for Jović.
Is this a joke or what? Madrid, money and UCl or Money, United and Europa league? Can't believe we weren't in for Jović.
Why are you acting like the Jovic transfer to Madrid wasn’t a drawn out process? This is how you do deals. Clown Woodward just makes a mockery of our transfer business.
