Madrid back with the dirty tricks.
It be just like them to 'beat us' to Maguire and him go on to be fantastic for them, whereas we 'beat them' to Sanchez and he's been a bag of shite.Hopefully City ‘beat us’ to Maguire.

Hopefully not. They beat us enough. About time we get a player good enough for us.Hopefully City ‘beat us’ to Maguire.
Well, they know how to do it. He was on loan at Torino this season and they probably liked him enough to pay €10m. Meanwhile we stick to the likes of Darmian, paying wages for nothing.Tweet

Don't know who that is but Chelsea getting good money for nobodies again.
He’s a good player. Sure he’ll come back to the PL and be a good player. He was running down his contract.Tweet

What centre back would you want? The only positive about Maguire I suppose is that he’s not Smalling or Jones. That’s something, I guess.
Tbf, that's a big fecking positive!!The only positive about Maguire I suppose is that he’s not Smalling or Jones. That’s something, I guess.
We only just had one rejected, I think in this case that's fairWe are preparing again
Fair enoughWe only just had one rejected, I think in this case that's fair
Spot on, nothing to do with not adapting even though he mellowed a lot in his later years and did make a few poor decisions to be fair. He was still as sharp as a tack though, fantastic man manager and that is one of the reasons he made the kind of signings he did and didnt bow down to agents, as he was all about the man management and good of the club not "philosophies" and self gain etc.Not in my opinion. He refused to bow down to silly agent fees because it would set a precedent that we're there to get fleeced. He was ahead of the game in minimizing social media use for players around the club because he knew what a big distraction it would cause.
Take Raiola - does Pep like to deal with him? Are Barcelona reportedly succumbing to agent fees? Do you see Klopp + Liverpool's efficient structure, or Bayern's structure bowing down to the same?
Definately for another thread but whatever Fergie did, he did it because he knew where the market was turning and you don't want to get into a vicious circle.
Think a lot of people are seriously under estimating the ability of Bissaka to become a superb full back, thats including going forward. Pay whatever it costs in my opinion, like a Walker, VVD, Ferdinand etc etc , couple of years time I think people will be saying what a great deal it wasTweet

I know! It's like fcuk, if the Glazers are willingly to spend it, so be it.Why do people care about fees? I don't give two shits just sign people.
Probably because higher fees reduces the likelihood of more signings and maybe raises ticket prices further on.Why do people care about fees? I don't give two shits just sign people.
We are pretty awesome at that. It's the journey that matters, not the destination right? We are preparing again
I need to look at numbers, but pretty sure Liverpool paid a ton of agent fees over last couple years. Not in my opinion. He refused to bow down to silly agent fees because it would set a precedent that we're there to get fleeced. He was ahead of the game in minimizing social media use for players around the club because he knew what a big distraction it would cause.

Thanks, what I was looking for. They’ve paid more than us in 3 of the past 5 seasons.
Totals over 5 years
Liverpool - £105.35m

You'll do me, buddy. I can get onboard with this. No, the last comments were about needing time to think clearly. If He wants Barca He'd be there now and French league isn't challenging and interesting enough for a young player like him who's hungry to develop. We'll get him no problemo
Great news; bring everything you have in your bank accounts Real or shut-up.Tweet

Young has already signed on for another year, dont worry! It's a weird feeling being indifferent as to whether or not our best player stays or goes.
Phil Jones is all signed on. Sleep easy. It's a weird feeling being indifferent as to whether or not our best player stays or goes.
Stephen Howson interviewed Simon Stone recently. Likely got a scoop on the upcoming (out now) story.Hmmm
Respect the processWe are preparing again
There's no point in speculating because there isn't enough evidence. Its like the time when people on here claimed that lukaku can improve his first touch when we were signing him.Think a lot of people are seriously under estimating the ability of Bissaka to become a superb full back, thats including going forward. Pay whatever it costs in my opinion, like a Walker, VVD, Ferdinand etc etc , couple of years time I think people will be saying what a great deal it was
He hasn't even signed yet and you want to get ridGet rid
I just wish I had any faith our scouting team actually does its homework. There's no point in speculating because there isn't enough evidence. Its like the time when people on here claimed that lukaku can improve his first touch when we were signing him.
We should not be paying 50-60m for a fullback who isn't good at both going forwards and defending. Play Darmian instead if you want a defensive full back.
Having said all this I can only hope that our scouting team have done their homework and if we do end up signing him, it proves a great deal.
Give it a week or two of them failing to get the price lowered and that will become him asking for too much money despite really, really, really, really wanting to join Real.Pogba ready to take a pay cut
