No doubting his potential but he needs to start scoring scruffy goals around the 6 yard box if he wants to nail down that position. He lacks composure at times, which hopefully, through maturity and decent coaching, will come. If so, we should be looking for 20+ goals a season from him

Looks like the club is going with Rashford being the leading guy upfront next season and I suspect that is going to fail rather abysmally. Yes he is home grown, yes he has potential, yes he deserves a new contract. However, he is not prolific to be leading the line of a top football club certainly not yet.
Both Rashford and Martial truly need to start performing consistently this season. Let's hope for our sake that they do as they both have the potential to be extremely exciting players in an attacking team.

Great example to youngsters that if you work hard, focus and improve, you're hard work will be rewarded. But if you don't do that, you'll be rewarded anyway.
How? Rashford works harder than the vast majority of United players and yes he has improved. A bad spell at the end of the season after his injury doesn't mean he hasn't.

I do agree Rashford needs to step up but majority in your list was secured using a transfer fee unlike Rashford. Believe it or not that plays an important part these days during contract negotiations. One of the reasons Juve is paying Ramsey 400k a week.
There wouldn’t be any other elite European team after him so why offer so much. He’s not exactly an in demand player and he never will be. This club never learns.
