Imagine being paid to watch football and scout players around the world and coming back to the office with a list of Maguire.

I just find this mental by Leicester. Football has lost all concept of what money actually is. £70m is mental and they still want more for him. They could get two defenders elsewhere for that. I would hope for a much better defender for that money. Why does United always have to pay more? Their money is worth as much as any other club. The idea we have to pay more I don’t get at all. How do Juventus do it.

Walk. Would rather we bid 60m plus a player for Diop. 90m is absolutely mental. If this doesn't come through I hope he has a poor season and Leicester rue the day their greed cost them.

Why is it greed? I don't think they want to sell him at all so hoping their valuation makes us walk.

Why are Leicester viewed as the bad guys here?

Feck 90 million.

We could get an Easter Island statue for 5 million and be just as good and look slightly better in team photos.

Here's hoping that our midfield targets are better and not Long fecking staff. This whole British thing is plain stupid

We have the funds and we do need a proven CB but if we do go and pay the 90million that's being rumoured then it will definitely have an effect on what we will get quoted for all our future targets.

We can get Toby and Andersen for 50m combined. Add Ben Yedder and you have 90m.

Walk away, this is silly

Much more sense of even Brooks / Ake around 100 million combined. Both players would drastically improve weakened positions.

90 million is crazy, but then nothing surprises me in football, that’s Leicester’s feck off we don’t want to sell price.
We should definitely steer clear at that price but at the same time I think he’s exactly what we need, if say we got Koulibaly, there’s no guarantee he’ll settle and play well, not really got that worry with Slabby

Signing him for £90 million will be disastrous for the club. Short-term, long-term, everything. No turning back from that for a long time.

Haha not harsh at all mate no worries. Probably a bit bonkers but hey, stranger things have happened - Bebe the walking bribe, Neymar's revenge transfer, this whole business with Spanish sides swapping second keepers for a FFP fix this summer.

Football World is pretty bonkers.
Yeah to be fair, there could be all sorts of shenanigans over the coming years.

You'd have never wanted Lampard, Cole, Carrick or Rio from Westham once upon a time because they were English and nobodies.

We produce good footballers too you know. It's not just foreign clubs who do.

I think we'll get Maguire for around the £70m, but this Bruno transfer has the whiff of Gaitan or Schneider about it. Definitely not happening along with the De Ligt one, albeit for different reasons.

Can you imagine if we actually pay £90m for Maguire? Unless he improve massively at a top club, I feel like we would look like mugs.

I feel that we wants this signing. I could see us offering initial £70m with adds on that reached £90m based on qualifications like qualifying for champions league, win ballon d’or, head shrink smaller and win the league.

The Fernandes transfer is exactly what everyone should expect, pure 100% Portugese tabloid hokum.

Paul Pogba is Real Madrid's primary target this summer and Los Blancos are eager to include Gareth Bale in a deal to sign the Frenchman from Manchester United.
Zinedine Zidane has made clear that his compatriot would be ideal for his team's midfield, but the Red Devils are not willing to negotiate his transfer.
Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, has twice travelled to Manchester to communicate his client's intention to depart England, while Madrid's directors have also tried to reach the Premier League club's board who have refuse to enter into talks.

If they want Pogba, we should ask for truly silly silly money.

Break the transfer record money.

They can feck off offering that crock Bale.
