The one thing that truly pisses me off is the deception. Ole stated that he had talked to Paul at the end of the season and he had been assured that Paul was happy and committed to helping United rebuild next season, now he wants out and is using social media and his agent to get what he wants. I would have been fine with Paul saying he wanted a move back in May but instead he misled the team and then reversed his decision two months into the off-season which puts us in an awkward position. By stop forcing the idea of building a team around one inconsistent player and build a proper unit.

Ask for £150m and set a deadline of the end of July for Madrid to pay up. Communicate this clearly to all parties, and make sure we have a replacement lined up and waiting in the case that Pogba leaves. Negotiate a deal with said player's club beforehand to agree a fee (if it's Saul it's his release clause). If Madrid don't pay up by the deadline, then Pogba and his agent should accept that he has to stay. If Madrid pay, we sort out the deal for his replacement swiftly.
