29 is old for us, but 36 is great for City.
Yeh pretty much, we need starters in about 5 positions, city are perfect in almost every position and just need back-up and champions league know how.

This guy is one of the most decorated players of all time and has worked closely with their manager before, shrewd business.

... Yawn

They're pretty irrelevant yeah. Everytime the tweet thread has like 40 alerts there's always several random Shrewsbury, Luton signings etc.
So what?

I mean, Most of that thread isn’t really that interesting.
Literally 573 of pages of either made-up rumors, or news about the same 6 players, and the selling clubs trying to squeeze every last bit of penny from buying clubs.
Really forgettable transfer window so far.

Stop being so close minded.

You said Barcelona shouldn’t be able to sign Griezmann because they had to borrow money from the bank. Nearly all clubs borrow money. With that logic we wouldn’t be able to sign anyone until our huge debt was repaid.
No. Not by that logic at all. In fact, quite the opposite.

Arsenal are due a relegation in 5 years time if nothing changes.
They’re in absolute shambles and smaller clubs have more buying power than they do now.
They’re in for a tough ride.
Not sure about relegation exactly but they’re due a battle or few alright.

[Maguire money pending] Leicester have already blown Arsenal out of the water this closed season & Everton have already signed Andre Gomes with more to come.

I just don’t get how they are so hamstrung.

Never know, maybe they expect the transfer market to burst in the next few years so by saving now when everyone is spending they'll be better off longterm? Don't see it happening but would be pretty funny if they somehow came out on top

Would be the ultimate long game but even if the PSG & City bubble burst they’d still have to battle United, Bayern, Juve, Real, Barca, Spurs, Chelsea [Now they’re trying to play by the rules].

There comes a point where surely you devalue the club to a point where it would be more sensible to invest but I’m barely smart enough to run a team on FM so what do I know.

Arsenal should be looking at free transfers and non-league players if they can't afford £25m upfront. I feel really sorry for their fans. Not really, I am looking forward to more salty AFTV next season.

All this talk about Maguire being slow, hence a poor CB. If this was the most important factor for a CB then Ivan Cordoba would've been the best one ever.

Leicester still have the Mahrez money to spend which they are spending this summer. They've also been recruiting very well.

25m isnt much for Tierney to be honest in this market.
Agree that in this market, it’s peanuts but £25M is an absolute staggering amount of money for Celtic. There is hardly any money in Scottish football.

Out of curiosity, why/how are arsenal so financially limited this season? I mean, if it's believed, 50 million kitty? Is the owner pocketing tv money or does Mike Ashley have a brother running arsenal?

Never thought I'd see the day a player like Maguire costs 80m.

I'm not against the signing but it's crazy money. Football transfers are becoming stupider each season... there should be a cap.

My brain can't get pregnant!
Did you just ruin that post by saying pallister wasn't quick?
Before your time maybe?
Not before my time at all. Are you seriously going to say Gary's main attribute was his speed? The man had so much to his game, positional sense, awareness, tackling, heading, but he wasn't known for his speed. He wasn't the slowest, I never said that, just he wasn't the fastest either and his game relied on much more than a turn of pace.

Yes, next to Bruce he was a rocket, but he wasn't fast, nor was he respected or thought of for his speed.

He was thought of as fast. It may be today that he wouldn't be, but at the time he certainly was.
