AWB is really good. I hope he doesn't turn into another zombie when shit inevitably hits the fan during the season.

Only 0-0 but the football definitely looks more promising going into this season. Having an actual RB is great. The way we actually look like a coherent team especially in the way we press is promising. Quicker and better link up play too.

I don't understand this high press with a 2 man midfield. Pogba cannot get into the game enough and no surprise it’s still 0-0.

Without Lukaku up front we have absolutely no presence in the box sadly. Crosses won't do anything this season. Good performance but we look toothless up front.

Yep he has a good turn of pace which makes you wonder why he can’t take anybody on out wide
Should have stopped at driving and added “ out of Old Trafford”
He looks woeful out wide and in his touch let’s him down. When he turns quick and drives forward— he looks quite good. Still, I don’t think he should be anywhere near our first team.

Good pressing.

Attacking has been bit slow though.

Defense been good except couple of aerial balls.

Martial and Lingard should do more.

Those expecting James to be ready right away were a bit deluded. Guy has a long long way to go.
This team with the youth team players coming through the James signing and the AWB signing is a work in progress. I'm prepared to give Ole time if he brings these kids through and gives them game time and looks like making a better team out of them.

AWB has been brilliant all preseason.

I'm going to hold my excitement in until the first 5 EPL games though. I remember when Darmian first came in, i thought we finally had a RB! that didn't turn out so well...

Want to see Gomes, Mctominay and Greenwood for James, Lingard and Matic and we will definetly win.

I'm fecking liking what I'm seeing...

Need a defender and attacker in for sure but this looks promising.

A decent half but we need to use the pace in behind more. If we had Carrick or Scholes in midfield the ball would be getting knocked over the top onto runners constantly. We are slowing things down in midfield too much to take advantage of the pace we have. The switches of play from flank to flank must become much faster.

PS) AWB looks a gem

Having Lingard as the link between midfield and attack kills it for me, not exactly new information though.
I'm by far not his biggest fan but he was decent I felt. Our other 3 up front are worrying me much more. Although Martial has been decent but he is nowhere to be seen in the box. Dan has a very very long way to go and Rashers again has one of those days he seems to have every second game he plays for us.

Great pressing overall. Inter are struggling to get past the half line and their passing have been terrible thanks to this.

However, we are still very clueless once we get possession of the ball around the box and I'll be really concerned if we enter the season with this attacking lineup without any more reinforcements. Rashford is very inconsistent and very greedy, Martial doesn't even stay in the box very much and thus makes us lack any presence up top, James is a bit lost on the right beside he's still a young kid anyway and Lingard is having his usual Lingard performance. This isn't an offensive lineup that boosts me with confidence entering a season.

AWB looks like an excellent signing. Hopefully he keeps the same form next season and offers a bit more in the attack.

Matic is slowing everything down and it's annoying to watch.

Tuanzebe doesn't look ready to be a main player tbh, think he'll benefit from another loan.

What presence did he provide at the top level last year? Strolled around and looked unfit most of the time

Martial is getting on my nerves. Useless for the majority of the game.

Good play that half, bad end product. Lingard having his best outing so far, decent from Martial, Rashford bad end product, James bad end product. Happy overall though. Would like us to have a big more overlaps though and really get to the byline on occasion, we get close but then kind of just stop for whatever reason. Especially running on the counters which we have plenty of, we always over complicate it instead of just passing it wide around the box to get closer in and then driving it low across. We did it the one time and nearly scored, but over complicating it apart from that.

Think we’re in trouble if depending on Rashford to get us 15-20 goals.
Agreed. Not sure he's that type of player. I'd have Rash on the right, Martial left and a new striker. I'd like to see how Greenwood does as striker. He'd get on the end of crosses and create his own chances. I think he'd get 20 goals even at 17.

- Oh my god why do we always get the duds?
- Not PL ready yet.
- Needs to bulk up. Gets pushed off the ball to easily.
- What are our scouts doing?
- Of course we spent 55M on him, he is trash.

I would say pick one but there are chances you will read all of them as soon as he has his first bad game. :p
Not a truer word spoken, the doom mongers here are somewhat odd

I hate Rashford on the left. I hate Martial in the centre. You'd think the logical thing to do would be to switch their positions. And yet...

Inter are playing with deep defensive line, so it's very difficult to play pass behind the defensive line.
