I unfollowed this Fridge guy and still getting notifications in the tweets feed. Is there any way I don’t have to see his tweets for Port Vale and similar?

This talk of a cheaper alternative to Maguire is annoying the shit out of me. Where the feck are we supposed to find a cheaper alternative about two weeks before the end of the window? Is it supposed to be Alderweireld? Isn't his clause suppose to run out in few days and isn't he supposed to be possibly unsuitable because of his wages and injury history? If not then why the feck are we not after him in the first fecking place.

This is getting dangerously close to another shit window.
Nobody knows so pointless getting bent out of shape about it.

Plus maybe Alderweireld is a backup option to Maguire and his deadline is our deadline on Maguire?

All just speculation and nobody here knows anything.

Can't judge the window until it closes.

Yeah but the thing is, I open the feed expecting to see some important news and you see shit like that. Annoying chap, regardless.
You know that there's a chance of it being lower league stuff. Surely it adds to the excitement? Think of it like a bag of Revels, you might get a nice one, you might get a shit one.

I understand prices are crazy in this market but can posters who’ve actually watched Pepe enlighten me why he’s worth the prices being thrown around? I’ve only seen his highlights reel and it’s nothing to shout about. He looks like a shit Nani, is probably as inconsistent, and is playing in a crap league.

Maguire, too. Highlights reel show me he’s great with the ball at feet and has a pretty good range of passing. Defending-wise, it just looks like he uses his massive frame to get in the way. His heading isn’t that convincing either. 80 feckin million pounds for that.

I have my doubts that we will even sign another player. Leicester seem to be cool as feck about the situation and admit they have had no offers that meet their valuation. Pepe for 70m is crazy but people say Fernandes for 50m is too much. This place cracks me up. So many so called experts dispelling other so called experts opinions.

The fact is - we have absolutely no idea how good Gill was or wasn't. I always got the impression that him and Ferguson got along, and he is extremely well respected in the business.

But what is that he has done to make you not like him ?
I don't like how he defended the way the club was bought by the Glazers, he defended them to the hilt under scrutiny from MPs and was completely fine with the Glazer's leveraged buyout of the club, which was wrong in my opinion. I think that any owner who buys a club should have the money to do do themselves with out plunging the club into debt.

Although I am hoping that Woody pulls of something special in the next two weeks. I agree with your point in bold.

To me it seems as if Woody was making up the story of we are working on one deal at a time as he didn't intend on spending and the longer he left it, he could say something like "These things take so much that unfortunately we were not able to complete all the deals wanted to" when he had no intention on doing them in the first place.

I think one of the reasons he doesn't want to spend money is that he got bit before and doesn't want to again. This is where a DoF would have been handy as Woody would been able to take opinions from someone who has a decent level of football knowledge. I believe that he thinks his football knowledge is so superior he doesn't care about the opinions of managers who have vastly greater football knowledge that him.

I think he is banking on all our youngsters coming good, which is a good thing although there is no guarantee that they will all come good. Also I think it too much pressure to put on them when they are just coming into the first team, hence why I think he should have bought a few more players which i doubt he will do but he could come out and surprise me. If he does so I will be happy.

Failed miserably at Anderlecht, don't know if he's the standard of player Villa should be going for. Their 3rd transfer with a link to the Belgian competition, after Wesley and Engels. Both are better players than him though. Wesley will be a handful for a lot of defenders.

The fernandes deal is probably taking so long as you only realistically get to bid once because of the clause. Utd need to make sure Sporting accept the bid before it's made because if sporting reject it then for Utd to get him after that we will have have to cover the 5 million and the big increase on the bid Sporting want. It makes no sense to bid unless everybody is happy to accept on the first try which isn't the norm with transfers.
I think very few clubs actually go in with the first offer being high enough? I’ve not come across a club who’s first bid is accepted by a club? Look at Arsenal with Zaha, United with Maguire and Lukaku For Inter? Surely you go in slightly lower than what you want to pay.

Can someone clarify the bit in brackets for me? Did he actually say that bit or has that been added in?
It's been added in so it makes sense to those reading it. Hearing someone talking can make sense but if you quote them it might not read like it makes sense, so you often see extra words added in brackets so people understand the context

He's saying the right stuff. When Mourinho lambasted our squad in pre-season, look at the shite that came into the season. I'll be frustrated as the next person if we don't sign more, but this is the right and only response you should get from a manager trying to prepare his team for the season to come.

Not really, I think it's just a waste of time.

I don’t know how anyone can read this and think we’re going to resort to back up targets. We’ll get Maguire and at least another one of our first choices over the line. Ole seems adamant of not giving up on our first choice target from that quote.
