Pre season means nothing. Pogba has been largely awful for us in that role for 3 years. His best games have come from being higher up. Defensively he's a liability.

I also feel like the deeper he drops the more fully dallying he does. He's better around the box where he can be explosive.

Just my opinion.
He can still play offensively with Fernandes in the same midfield, look at how De Bruyne and Silva operate.

How are the super cups treated in Portugal? I've heard for a while if Fernandes is sold, it would be after that game.
It is counted as a trophy, so bigger importance than in the UK.
And even more so being a derby vs Benfica.

Not the same mentality of player. Different DM quality. Better team. Better manager.

Way too many variables to make that comparison.

Pogba fanboys don't like hearing it but it's his effort and work rate that lets him down. KDB is a far better player for this very reason.

For that too work , which I think it could, we would need top guality cdm to do Fernandinho role. Which would make us better as trams knows if they take Pogba out of the game or if he doesn't turn up we would struggle for creativity, this would make us less predictable and more dangerous to the opponents in my opinion.

Does anyone think this guy could still sign if Pogba stays, personally can only see a midfield signing if Pogba leaves which is total negligence.

Romanilo supposedly said on his Instagram that we are working on signing Fernandes... Could someone check and confirm?

Romano not Romanilo... My bad :)
I haven't the privileges to post tweets on here but if you search Fabrizio Romano and look under the Dybala stuff, there is a couple of screenshots about Bruno there

Di Marzio says it's almost done. From Google translate:

After Maguire, a deal closed yesterday, another blow for Manchester United: the club coached by Solskjaer reinforces itself in midfield with Bruno Fernandes' arrival from Sporting CP. The Portuguese class 1994 is at a boulder wearing the Red Devils shirt: the two clubs are close and are preparing to close the deal. Fernandes is back from a great season in Lisbon, where he became the midfielder to score more goals in a single season: 31 in 50 appearances, plus 17 assists.

The deal also indirectly affects Sampdoria, which had sold it to Sporting in 2017 for 8.5 million plus 10% of future resale. The Blucerchiato club therefore expects to earn a considerable sum.

It's just a bad Google translation.

You didn't think that the "The Portuguese class 1994 is at a boulder wearing the Red Devils shirt" bit is an author's choice did you?

‘Another blow from Manchester United’? Not sure if i’m following
We've struck a blow, a deal has been hammered out etc. Just a weird translation.

Basically all you have to know is.... MAGUIRE AND BRUNO

Gianluca is obviously not a fan of our recent signings:

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
I first translated it to German and it's the same negative translation :lol::lol: scared me for a bit, but obviously just a bad/weird translation.

So Di Marzio has basically said Maguire, Bruno and probably Dybala are close. Too good to be true?
Yes. When other sources are saying Maguire is way off, Bruno is unlikely and Lukaku is off to Inter. Who knows what to believe.

Hope Pogba isn’t involved anywhere near to what we are doing mate, otherwise it’s a massive downer for me even if we sign those three. Maguire and Fernandes will be good enough for me
I'm not so sure Pogba will go if I'm being honest. I thought so at the start of the window, now I'm not so sure. But agreed, Maguire and Fernandes are the key ones for me there in positions we are crying out for.

No one is saying Lukaku is off to Inter. All the Italian reports suggest it’s Juventus and the fact they’re letting Kean go to Everton only adds fuel to that fire. The English media are generally always so slow on the case so let’s see.

--------Rashford
Martial--Bruno--Dybala
----Pogba---McT

a man can dream.
Dybala tends to drift towards the middle when he plays on the wing. I don't want another Mata at RW situation here!

Perhaps something like:
-- Martial ----- Rashford
---------- Dybala
--- Pogba ------ Bruno
----------- McT
