Honestly I think I agree, at least in regards to our CF / 10 roles.
With Lukaku out I'm happy to go with Rashford / Martial / Greenwood / Sanchez for the role. Greenwood has to be among the best prospects of his generation up top, so should be given the time to bed into the team and develop. Martial & Rashford are good players who themselves can improve, and Sanchez, as lackluster as he is, isn't a bad 4th option. Gomes also looks bright and needs to be given games and signed onto a new contract as a matter of urgency.
CM & RW have to be the priority positions for me, with CM taking precidence. A specialist #6 or #8 depending on where Ole sees McTom's future would improve us far more than an extra #10 or Striker to further push some of our most promising youngsters in years down the pecking order.
Just Gives us Ronaldo and get it done.

Bruno was the backup for Lo Celso. Spurs know how to do business unlike United who end up putting all their eggs in one basket.... Greenwood I'd say is definitely ready to play a role next season. Put him on the right and I'd wager heavily that'd he'd outperform Lingard / Mata in that role, so there's an improvement. I also think in 2 or 3 years we'll be looking at him as one of the best British players of his generation, so is worth sticking with through some dips in form in the meantime.
Gomes, for me is technically brilliant, intelligent and surprisingly fiesty on the pitch. I don't think he'd let us down if rotated into the #10 role in Europe / Cup games, perhaps some easier league games. People say his size is an issue but I've seen nothing to suggest he can't hold his own.
Chong I agree isn't ready at the moment. In fact I'm not sure he's got the potential to make it here full stop, but would love to see him get a championship loan next year.
Sure there are better players currently who, in a FM world, we could go and buy tomorrow, but it seems ed's locked away the keys to the safe at the mo. I'd much rather see Greenwood / Gomes playing than Lingard / Mata for a whole host of reasons.
Could well be wrong but hey its entertainment at the end of the day. I know who I'd rather watch.
