Signings we have made have been good.

5.5 out of 10 as things stand.

If Lukaku leaves and Maguire is the last new players in then 2/10.

10 things this summer:

1. Get a Rb
2. Get a CB
3. Get a Cm
4. Get a RW
5. Sell Rojo
6. Sell Darmian
7. Sell Sanchez
8. Sort out Pogba situation
9. Sell another Cb
10. Get more speed

I reckon RB,CB and speed is what we got

But we have failed to do alot this summer

5 at the moment but I would say 7 if we got a defensive midfielder. Hoping something happens in the next couple days. The minimum we needed was a 7/10 transfer window.

I will go for a 6/10 . I think we 5 new players so we still need another 2 . If we where to get another 2 midfielders one attacking and a defensive then I'd go 9/10 . This is without Lukaku leaving if he goes we will need a striker .
But with 3 days to go I think we will be lucky to bring in one more

3/10. We have only improved in RB position and marginally improved in CB while paying 85m. We have failed to address our RW position and the loss of 2 CM from the team in the past 6 months.

Failed to move a single Deadwood and tie De Gea for the future. We as fans are now hoping the kids come good, Mct to replace a seasoned pro in Herrera, James to fill the RW void and Martial/Rashford to be the 20 goal striker for Manutd.

Sign Zaha and Bruno/Eriksen. Move Sanchez, Rojo, Darmian and we could be looking at a very good window

5 out of 10, not quite good enough. Two first team players and one squadie for the future would be fine if we finished in the top 4 last season and didn't have that almighty collapse. Losing a key midfielder not replacing him would be ridiculous.

I expect us to get a striker and a midfielder before the window closes. Depending on the quality it could end up being a good window.

6 out of 10. If we hold on to Pogba, sell Lukaku and bring in another CM to replace Herrera, I reckon it would be 8 out of 10.

If we can get rid of Rojo and Darmian, even better. Move Sanchez and we’ll have had an almost perfect window.

7/10

We have fixed our weakest area - RB & CB, and we have signed a young fast winger, which is not too bad as we need badly a right winger.
However so far we have failed to add any reinforcement to our poor midfield. We need at least 1 or 2 more midfielders, then it will be 8/10 or 9/10 summer for us.
A 10/10 is possible if we managed to sign Sancho too, which is highly unlikely though.

- We needed more outgoings (Darmian, Rojo, Sanchez etc)
- Haven’t sorted out the midfield, where we lost two players.
- Still no RW.

4/10 as we signed players to fill two problem positions out of 4 positions.

Still need two midfielders.

And we didn't have anywhere near the clearout we needed.

7/10 i.e. better than average.
If Damian, Lukaku and Jones left it would be a 8. If Bruno came I'd make it a 9. I'd take off 2 if Pogba left.

5 out of 10 at this point. Three more days before I lose ALL hope that Eddie or the Glazers give A $hit about contending for the Premiership or Europe. Every year it's the same lies and malfeasant management and failure to back the manager, although it's become apparent that Eddie will continue to use managers as his fall guys until the clueless Glazers lose enough money to notice it. I love that the defense is hopefully sorted but we've been $hit for 10 years and they just keep spackling over the cracks without fixing the problems. Until we resolve our plodding, mediocre midfield, we will be lucky to qualify for the Europa league for the foreseeable future. Unless we get some quality in the midfield in the next few days, it will be obvious that our board WILL NOT FIX THIS until they LOSE MORE MONEY. I won't spend one cent on ANYTHING United related until this $hit shower ends. That means no: Apparel, MUTV, magazines.....NOTHING.

To rate our transfer window, we need to look at certain things from last season and to determine our realistic goals for this season.

This season we all agree we must get in the top 4.

Last season we weren't bad in scoring goals, we're 5 behind Tottenham and Arsenal (2 goals below Tottenham and 8 behind Arsenal) but we were leaking goals in defense. We secured only 7 clean sheets (14th position in the EPL) while Tottenham kept 13 clean sheets.

Keeping that in mind, it seems we didn't need much to add to our front line, especially that almost all our academy grads play in the front line, I mean Chong, Greenwood and Gomez, so a good planning would be not to sign any new player in the front line and to give those guys a chance to see who can add to the team and who can be shipped out next transfer window. Unless Lukako is leaving then we have to replace him with a finisher, not a versatile forward in my opinion.

In the midfield, we lost Herrera and Fellaini, Matic is almost done those are 3 starters, not just squad players. We have/had chronic problems in RB and RW. And we lacked value and leadership in central defense.

So to sum up, we didn't need much in attack, our needs were basically 1 or 2 CB, RB, 2 CMs and 1 RW. And more importantly we needed to get rid of a lot of dead wood.

That wasn't much to ask for.

With Maguire and AWB we can rate the defense as 80% sorted since we can also count Tuanzebe who was highly rated from his last loan. James is a good addition but still it don't solve the RW problem as he looks like he prefers LW which already has 3 or 4 players fighting for it.

The midfield is the bigger problem, I think it will cost us a lot. No additions so far. Just imagine if Pogba and Matic both got injured, which is exactly what happened last season!!

Attack, I'm happy so far, if Lukako goes out, then we need to replace him, though I don't think there's time and we are stuck with him.

And yes, we didn't ship anybody out, which is appalling to say the least.

Our squad is completely imbalanced, a lot of dead wood in defense who aren't playing yet are on the wage bill, very thin in the Middle with our top 3 picks being a world class player, a kid, and an aging immobile Matic.

I guess 2/5 is really generous of me. However, the transfer window is still open, if we can get a CM then 3/5 might be fair.

Well, if we think back to that brief (around late May?) that suggested once again a big summer sort-out that never happens, you could suppose the objectives for the summer were FIVE IN, FIVE OUT.

Now we could debate all night which five to sell and all week debating which five to buy, but let's say:

OUTS
2 CBs (Rojo and 1 of Jones/Bailly/Smalling)
Darmian
Lukaku
Sanchez

INS
CB - Maguire
RB - Wan-Bissaka
Winger - James

CM - ?
AM - ?

Only 3 of the objectives met, out of 10.

So...

3/10

Don't get me wrong, I'm really really happy with the 3 players we've bought. But it doesn't make up for the fact that Woodward and Judge are the laughing stock of the football world. Why did it take 2 months to just end up paying the asking price for Maguire?? Remember when Ole was saying (after one embarrasing defeat, can't remember which one) "Some of those players aren't going to be part of our future success" - they're still here.

And giving Ashley Young a new contract last year and now making him club captain is embarassing.

However, there's still time to shift some players and put my rating out of ten up.

With the length of contracts handed to AWB, Maguire and DDG I think it’s been an outstanding window from a defensive point of view. These three will be our first choices for years to come. Maybe a bit light elsewhere but Rashford signed up for the long term, the emergence of Greenwood and the addition of James are positives.

7/10 for me.

6/10 so far. Addressed defence which is a big plus. Lack of midfield reinforcements and seemingly no Lukaku replacement (despite probably being sold regardless) brings it down, because it seems stupid to say a 17 year old should pick up his spot, in an already youthful frontline... also the deadwood remains.

Again there’s three days for it to go up.

Sorted out problems we should have sorted last season (deals which probably could have been done a lot quicker since we ended paying the asking price for the players) but still:

No midfield
No attackers
Still have deadwood (Sanchez, Rojo)
Young captain
No replacement for Lukaku
Pogba wants to leave
Overall shambles of a window in terms of communication and planning

Just hope Ole goes with youth now

It has been good so far.
We have addressed weaknesses in the side and strengthened them. The thing that will determine our season is if the young existing players at our side step up so let us wait and see if Andreas and Fred can stake a claim in our midfield.
Who would have thought that a midfield of Henderson and Milner would have been good enough last season.

6/10. Addressed our RB problem and finally have a leader in defense who's far and away our best defender. James it's too soon to tell what impact he'll have. We haven't signed a midfielder which is a joke or a RW or forward which is just as bad and we've kept onto shite like Jones, Rojo, Bailly and Lingard figures to start the majority of games. Pogba and De Gea still being here is a plus.

5/10 for me. We need RW and forward to bang goal for fun. Otherwise top 4 is very difficult for us.

3 in 3 out strategy seems to be exactly true this summer.

3 in: Daniel James, AWB, Harry Maguire
3 out: Marouane Fellaini, Ander Herrera, Romelu Lukaku(?)

Not totally amazing but it's a good direction. Just need to have a good campaign and we can build on it next summer.

Genuinely no idea how anyone can rate it above a 5. Joke of a window, yeah, we made some good acquisitions of course, but we have 4 arguably starter quality midfielders, that's an absolute joke, and if Pogba can't play we are completely toothless. Selling Lukaku still looks likely with absolutely zero replacement coming in and whilst i hope Martial can become a revelation in the mid this season, i genuinely don't expect much.

The biggest issue? We're in desperate need of quality in midfield and attacking options upfront, we're just gonna be seeing the same old shit from Mata, Lingard etc as always and we STILL don't really have a Top 4 quality squad all over the pitch, that's a fact, so if we inevitably end up outside the top 4 again, you know how it's going to go, likely with the sacking of Ole, or the lack of top quality talent wanting to join us, again, our best players, like Pogba will definitely want to go and then we are just stuck replacing players AGAIN, which we aren't going to do, AGAIN.

You just know that Lukaku is being sold to lessen the blow of Maguire's transfer to the Glazer's coffers and won't be reinvested.

Joke club, joke owners. Farce of a summer, all these months to identify targets and we end up with a Brexit summer, even if they are good acquisitions, we needed at least 2/3 more and we needed to get rid of alot more, instead the only player of note that has left is one nobody wanted to leave, whilst all the deadwood are STILL clinging on after so many years, infact we gave most of them new contracts!?

But people are happy? :lol::lol:

6/10. Our defense is much better but our attack and midfield is a suspect. Another window of false promise.

4/10.

Resolved RB early and with a good signing.

Resolved CB but with a signing that should have been done before pre-season; it's not like we've reduced the fee by delaying.

Lost Herrera without having signed a replacement, when midfield was already a concern; now it's in crisis.

Retained Darmian, Rojo, Jones, Sanchez.

Still have Static as a first XI starter.

Have cast out Lukaku seemingly without having a plan about replacing him.

Have no proper first XI ready wingers - Martial is a striker being played out of position and James is too green.

Useless.

with a midfielder or striker to replace Lukaku i would give it a 7. Both would be a 9.

Seems like it will stay a 5 or maybe we can go to a 7. I hope we have a surprise signing left, i feel a bit empty.

Fantastic business for the defence it would seem, still that doesn't mean it deserves a 7-8 score. Using the full scale it gets a 5 out of 10. Hopefully we can add a midfielder.

We lost Herrera and Fellaini and Matic is looking dodgy. Pogba is starting his 4th season and we still haven't bought a decent able bodied player to play alongside.

5/10 if I’m generous. We had 3 critical positions (CB, RB, DM) plus 2 very important (AM, RW) positions to fill. I’d value each of those as 2 points from 10.

So AWB and Maguire merit 4 points, Dan James merits 1 as a prospect. If we’d got a solid DM plus an AM it would have been 9/10 in my book.

Not too bothered about lack of sales at this stage as we can still move some along after our window shuts. Might be a few ‘names’ who don’t even make the 25 man squad when announced, so they need to be working hard on finding new clubs.

Serious question - why do people care if the likes of Rojo/Darmian are sold?

They aren’t going to play anyway. Their fees won’t be enough to really affect the budget either.
