What’s with all the complaining? The tactical fouls are magnificent! I just have to admire it.

Was hoping for a shock in the first game, looks like City are winning this. Come on Aston Villa you're up next :nervous:

It's too early and those types of midfielders always take a bit to get used to the league, but it was the same shit with Jorginho. First few games people were hyping him up because he did well in a different league and because the managers at the time and the interest in the summer, was doing a lot of simple passes but they were ignoring them actually getting caught on the ball, getting out-muscled and not actually playing very well. Jorginho essentially did the same stuff all season and at the beginning they called him "brilliant", and by the end he was a waste of space and massively overrated.

Rodri far more Fernando than a Fernandinho so far, but again, very early and it's to be expected.
Spot on.

The amount of times we're going to hear people say that this season just because it's what they expect a Pep signing to do without them actually doing it:rolleyes:
Been very average so far and shown on a few occasions he's not quite used to the pace or physicality of the league, which is to be expected in his first game.
I must have a different video feed from you as he is making this DM position look easy. Struggiling physically? Was that when he took the forearm to the face?

Casually strolling about getting on the ball making himself available and keeping things ticking over.

Yup. Besides, we need City to pip liverpool to the title this year too. So why the whining?
Too early for that, would be nice to see to City wobble early into the season and see them lose.

Jorginho was one of our best players towards the end of the season and was fantastic in the EL final against Arsenal. He struggled with the physicality of the league but grew into it.

Would've had quite a few assists as well if our strikers weren't complete and utter shite.

I think his sharpness and awareness aren't quite there yet, they're the only things that stand out for me. He's getting pressed a lot from behind when receiving the ball and the awareness showed in those instances, looks a very tidy player mind.

it is difficult, as much id love to laugh at city getting tonked (if and when), knowing that them dropping points aids the scousers is like having fingernails down a chalkboard irritating.

Rodri looks another top quality signing by Pep. How much was he? Why can't we get these sorts of player for our midfield?

City not playing that well, Sterling been awful, Bernardo on soon in second half. Still winning though and west ham not creating much.

Thought Dean was poor, whistle going against City endlessly. Also Sterling was onside when linesman flagged? Why not waiting for VAR after play finished??

No, it’s not and no it wouldn’t. Every point counts.
For what it's worth, I'm hoping this year's Liverpool won't be as good as last seasons with their injuries and defensive weaknesses. So we won't have to support City as much as we did last year.
