We... we did?VAR is amazing. Love how the game keeps evolving.
Americans brought forth something great to our game.

The system is there to greatly reduce the errors. No more offside goals. Think Drogba scoring at Old Trafford in 2010, could've been an extra title for United if that game went differently from that point. Obviously many games it won't change much, but at the end of the day, no longer will people be able to point to a shit refereeing error as the reason they lost. They can say it's harsh, but harsh can still be correct, which is what matters.Have to wonder if that score would’ve been any different if the professional lines people were just allowed to do their job. Maybe the flag goes up on one of those but stays down on the other. Same result, but now we’ve made this system into some sort of god.
No, I’m saying that match had unbelievable great feelings heightened by VAR. The goal that was then disallowed at the end was the same as a last minute goal.I am not saying everything is perfect without it. But I firmly believe that watching a game of football is about great feelings and VAR dampens these thus ruining the experience.
The correct calls were made and people aren't having it.What happened?
Sorry bud. It’s always balanced out over the course of a season. This is some draconian bullshit. The system is there to greatly reduce the errors. No more offside goals. It makes the game sterile. Imagine not jumping for joy like a tosser and doing so only when the screen says goal! The system is there to greatly reduce the errors. No more offside goals. Guess we’ll have to agree to disagree. Some people will love VAR, some will hate it. It’s going to be a divider of opinions for sure. No, I’m saying that match had unbelievable great feelings heightened by VAR. The goal that was then disallowed at the end was the same as a last minute goal.
The far and away most popular sport in the world has always had them. Never slowed the growth. Changing the viewing experience in stadium and out will do so.People want offside goals now ?
The penalty rule is there, now it will be enforced instead of referees ignoring it.It is too anal. Sterling was about 1cm offside for the assist to Jesus. The penalty retake was also ridiculous.
Apparently? Liverpool maybe and Harry Kane .People want offside goals now ?
Actually the table with and without VAR will show whether things balance out over a season.Sorry bud. It’s always balanced out over the course of a season. This is some draconian bullshit.
So much drama now. Football growth slowed by VAR, for real ? Why does football growth matter anyway ?The far and away most popular sport in the world has always had them. Never slowed the growth. Changing the viewing experience in stadium and out will do so.
It really hasnt, that's a load of shit. Why would you want more refereeing errors? The reffing was atrocious in the past, this will help. Offside goals are always ridiculous as they straight up shouldnt happen. Now they wont.Sorry bud. It’s always balanced out over the course of a season. This is some draconian bullshit.
There's a lot more that will put people off football than correct decisionsThe far and away most popular sport in the world has always had them. Never slowed the growth. Changing the viewing experience in stadium and out will do so.
That's it. It's very simple. In the end any form of Var will get most decisions right but will significantly reduce the entertainment value of the sport
It actually won’t because the linesmen are now told not to raise the flag.Actually the table with and without VAR will show whether things balance out over a season.
Nah again, this is bullshit. Just look at City vs Spurs in the CL last year. Couldnt have possibly had more drama, and VAR played a big role in that.It makes the game sterile. Imagine not jumping for joy like a tosser and doing so only when the screen says goal!
So being 1cm is ok to be offside? How about 2cm?It is too anal. Sterling was about 1cm offside for the assist to Jesus. The penalty retake was also ridiculous.
It obviously doesn't balance out over the course of a season. Why would it? Doesn't even make sense.Sorry bud. It’s always balanced out over the course of a season. This is some draconian bullshit.
It really wont. See City vs Tottenham in the quarter finals last year.In the end any form of Var will get most decisions right but will significantly reduce the entertainment value of the sport
Doubt it’s the grandpas. I’ve had about 12 friends just text me how shitty this is. All under 35.Nah again, this is bullshit. Just look at City vs Spurs in the CL last year. Couldnt have possibly had more drama, and VAR played a big role in that.
All of you fecking grandpas will be fine. Get with the times. Technology helping get the correct decisions.
