Oh my GOD! We're not gonna finish in the top 6. Oh my god, look at how superior this magnificent Tottenham team is in its superior magnificent ultra beautiful brand new stadium. feck Ole, feck Woodward, feck the Glazers.

Viva Moussa Sissokho, viva cheddar.

Harry Kane still has his reliably awful finishing in August then!

Don't let me down Aston Villa, was hoping for an upset for one of the top 3 teams.

Eriksen needs to come on at half-time, whatever his transfer situation, from a playing point of view Spurs have no one like him on the pitch.

Tottenham have failed to score in the 1st half in 6 of 8 games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

He plays very much like Milner did when he played for us. Arguably a little better breaking into the box and finishing although Milner really improved that by the time he left us.

Only Hourihane been dodgy today and he's not really a DM, need to get Douglas Luiz and Marvellous match fit and that will be strong trio for us.
Your midfield looks very good. And you look defensively well organised (hope you manage to continue it for the 2nd half). Just Wesley getting used to the physicality of the league and Trezeguet not being rubbish with his final ball that could be better that half.

Hopefully one of those games where Spurs have 30 shots, dont score. Villa have 4 shots and score 2 :D

Fun! If this was Man Utd, there would now be a deluge of posts criticising the manager, the recruitment, and delivering a verdict of a 7th-9th place Premier League finish.
This is very true. If this was us, it would have been micro-analyzed to no end.

Surprised some are criticising Ndombele. Think he's the only one who has been remotely creative for us out there.

Yeah Wes hold up play not as good as it was in pre season, that's been a problem but always difficult to keep possession for long spells at these top 6 grounds. We look decent on the counter, delighted with the lead.

Let him enjoy his transfer, on the pitch he will not give 100%.

Are they contractually obliged to mention “this great new stadium” at every opportunity when talking about Spurs on Sky? It’s becoming a bit tedious.

He must remind people of Pogba since Pogba also is the only one providing some creativity but also will be critised (unfairly) the most.

Agree. Was anonymous for the first part of that half but really came to life the last 20. Looks a good player to me.

Ndombele has looked very limited from what I was expecting from the hype. Could be this years Kieta.
Limited how? He created Spurs best chance with the kind of pass we usually see from the likes of Pogba or Eriksen. He's fast, he always wants the ball, rarely loses it, moves it well and moves well off of if

The problem is spurs are playing him next to a mediocre version of himself and slightly different mediocre version of himself...
