Anyone else not enjoying this because we didn’t make more signings?

Ok. Btw, premier league is looking poor again isn’t it?
PL is the best league in Europe right now and was nowhere near the best league in Europe when you made that thread. But again, you know this, you know you were wrong and I respect your intentional idiocy.

Thank you for respecting my “intentionally idiocy”

Anyone who can’t see the humour in this thread despite the whole forum being a relentless onslaught of negativity for the last month is a grinch. Anything remotely positive has been laughed off and we have had to suffer a deluge of shite.

Me. We are not that far off from contending. Replace AP with Bruno and Lingard with Sanco this team could absolutely challenge city for the title.
And secondly, midfield is still a concern. Ole has to integrate Fred back into the team and get the best out of him. This was a weak Chelsea team yet they dominated midfield in the 1st half. Against better sides the 2 man midfield won't cut it. But if Fred can play well that allows you to play Pogba further forward and I think we'b be favourites for the 4th spot with that lineup

You can tell that they are fighting for the shirt. Some might not be the most technically gifted and sometimes we give the ball away, but they never stopped chasing and pressing.

If this is what we see the whole season, I'm fine with whatever happens. We finally seem to have a team with players that fight for the shirt and each other.
Agree..

Prepared to wait. After a performance like this, sexy players will be attracted to United like flies on dogshit. No, like they'll really be wanting to come to us, like we are magnet.

Knee-jerk thread. First half I thought "God help us against City or Liverpool." but second half goals changed the perception. Chelsea are awful and we still need better in midfield.

A lot more accurate title would be "Are you still not happy that we didn't replace that big oaf?" or "This is where the goals will come from". I'm glad we didn't panic about getting a ST and confident about Martial & Rashford.

the first goal was crucial today. What would have happened if Chelsea got it? Thats the question. I enjoyed the game but we are so careless at times

How do I enjoy making these threads?

Well what happens is, throughout the season I am mocked by people like you. People who are negative and don’t get United. Then when I am proven right, I make a thread about it. And people call them “shitty” and call me a WUM, but deep down I know they feel a deep amount of shame. They know that I have bested them. They know that I understand more and they wish they could be more like me but alas, they’ve already made their choice. So they pout and whine but... they know, and so do I.

I'll have some of what you're smoking.

We've been lucky and Chelsea have played really well. The points are ok but I'd rather take away the positives they'll take away from this game instead.
Well our defensive signings definitely helped us here. Imagine if we played Young today.
Could not agree more. It is our first game. I am delighted that we beat Chelsea which is the team that United are always struggled playing against them. Hopefully my feelings are wrong

Great game. We played very well, overall. 3 new signings had an instant impact and looked to have improve the team. 4-0 against a (big) rival, great result. Should be nothing but positivity.

Then you see threads like this. Attention seeking, inflammatory, intending to rile up fans and cause division and arguments and negativity. Absolutely unnecessary. Thread should be locked, preferably deleted.

It's annoying knowing that midfield will come up short at some point but today isn't the day to worry about it.

Trainwreck thread creator strikes again. God bless ignore thread button.
No it isn't in a trainwreck thread honesty. I understand what the OPs sentiments are. He means to say that even though we scored 4 and won, the results could have been completely different in the first half and he also fears that once our young players lose form or become inconsistent as they normally are later in the season, we would have been in a better position to depend on a new midfielder/striker or two to bail us out of that form slump period. In other words, the actual quality of our team is still very much suspect at this stage. Just a concern from a fan who cares...

Yes, fair enough, the football is good. I can accept that.

BUT... imagine if we’d spent more than Aston Villa?
Why do you want to imagine like that? Just imagine if we can keep continue winning like today.

Wait, i thought the point of this thread was to talk about others being negative? So you're only actually positive when it suits. Just like the rest.
How can you be positive when you’ve got a manager who disparages the club and all that makes it great? That insults the youth, the fans and the European history of the club?

That lives in a hotel, complains about Manchester and actively resists playing youth?

Ole has come in and revolutionised everything. Made some shrewd signings Improved results and style of play. Got the youngsters involved. Made changes to the operation of the club to ensure that going forward we have our identity. This pre season was fantastic, there has been NO need for negativity yet it has flooded everywhere.
