Fair ennough. I just think that calling Khabib 27-0 a hugger can only come from haters or conar fanboys
I take hugger to mean more that he has one style only. If, and it will never happen, he met a good striker that could stop his wrestling he would be murdered very quickly. For example a Conor that can stop his wrestling beats Khabib's ass on the feet without breaking a sweat. His style is 'hugging' but it's highly effective and unstoppable hugging and he's the best lightweight of all time by a distance.

He’s the Irishman that everyone should love instead of that coked up feck-head from Crumlin.
Man very few Irish people outside of the lads that are like Conor are fans of him any more. We all loved him when he was on his rise because he hadn't fully shown who he is at that time. Most people here dislike him now in my experience. I switched to Whittaker as my favourite a good while ago.

When does Khabib become Royce Gracie legendary? If he wins tonight? If he beats Ferguson? I’m pretty sure Royce, Rickson is would struggle today.

He's already the best LW ever and a potential GOAT. He's below Jones. GSP and Fedor for me simply because of his one dimensional style but that style is enough to kill everybody so he may be the best!

It's used as a loaded and derogatory term, inferring that striking is somehow more noble or skilful, which it isn't.

'Strikers' should try boxing, if they dare ever complain about grapplers.

And no-one will ever beat Khabib easily.

Really? Honestly, I still see plenty of Conor fans.. The excuses are getting bad though.. that’s the second 50+ year old man he punched after losing consecutively.

And I’ve started Conor appropriation thread... Saying that, I’ve a propensity to start shit threads that end up horribly wrong.

Oh undoubtedly and it's unfortunate but I guess it's like being a Jose team in football, it comes with the territory. He's unbelievable and I love watching him.

I was a Conor fan. He has shown his true colours since he broke through though. He's just a scumbag. I can't stand him and I don't think he is loved in Ireland at all anymore... only by his entourage or other scumbags.

I really dislike Khabib. He's a scumbag like McGregor. I can't stand Ferguson either !

Porier seems like a great guy that. I'd love him to win but I can't see it.

Aye, by fecking downtrodden dwellers from council flats that he occasionally visits. He’s a lunatic, the fact that he keeps going back to that lifestyle, is absolutely extraordinary.

Poirier had Khabib under pressure there and just gave up the takedown. Did he gas already? His last few throws were slow and sluggish.

Yeah thought that, no surprise if he had a bit though considering the heat and what he had to defend in the 1st
