Surely we haven't reached the stage where fans are actively wishing to lose against Liverpool in the vein hope it results in Ole's sacking.

Surely not.
There is no need for that, Ole ain't retrieving the situation so he will be sacked sooner or later but it's clear that if he spends a few more weeks on the job the prospect of being in the bottom three is very real.

No fecking way this. I'd have him till the end of the season if that means 6 or even 3 points against them.

It should be done ASAP, there’s an international break and the Liverpool game is a write off whoever is our manager. That gives some time to make a decision and sort out an appointment.

We gave Moyes, LVG and Jose too long just need to make decision now. It won’t solve all our issues, Woodward should go, the squad needs gutting and lots of investment. But Ole isn’t good enough and that won’t change, it’s not his fault he probably would have stayed mangling in Norway for rest of his career and part of reason he was probably made caretaker was because he wouldn’t be a viable candidate to get the job full.
This, he is a deadman walking and the question is only a matter of when not if. We have the scenario where he could drag us into the bottom three if he spends a few more weeks on the job.

He is so bad he might not even make christmas when everyone (from the fans to the club) and everything are trying their hardest to give him time considering his status at the club.

He can barely get a win and looking at the fixture list you see draws and losses for us everywhere.

Yeah, writing's on the wall now. Especially after that DDG interview. Get Wenger in until the end of the season, we have nothing to play for anyway. See who's available this summer, and for God's sake get a DOF to plan this.

Would love to see what Wenger could do with this lot. Let’s face it he could hardly do any worse.

It is getting worse and worse each weak. I love Ole but... he has to go. What is worse that it is not the only problem (not even the main one). We need to rebuild the whole club starting with Ed The Wooden Eagle.

Sack for several reasons:
1). Playing Fred today against Newcastle despite his disastrous showing against AZ Alkmaar, and NOT HOOKING him.
2). Insisting with Lingard at #10.
3). Continuing to play Rashford as a center-forward despite all his limitations.
4). prioritizing improvement of our defense when it was clear to see we needed reinforcements in midfield.
5). Sanctioning the exits of Lukaku & Sanchez without getting any replacements.

The last 2 are grave errors and almost criminally negligent. Although these last 2 errors are not just his doing, his head will roll.

Do we actually think the board are going to act on this now, or are they seriously going to wait until we get an absolute battering against Liverpool?

Now is the perfect time to make a change with the international break.

Bring in a caretaker manager with the sole purpose of seeing us through the season - like Benitez at Chelsea. Get some stability and make a run in the Europa league.

Then next year, look for an out-of-the-box choice with a DOF that can actually start to change our culture. Ten Hag is the perfect choice, or a Nagelsman.

I don't expect any of this to happen but this can't continue.

And the replies to this tweet can’t be good to read for the club
Sack him, fine. But, what an utter shambles we have become. No way that Kovac at Bayern is better manager then him, but at least he has a more stable situation behind him.

Go for Allegri, bring back Lukaku, make another circle. Then give it to Giggs.

Why are we seemingly the only club where “sacking the manager doesn’t do anything”?. Imagine that mindset of all the middle tier Premier League clubs who were bottom of the league under a manager then changed manager and survived, or even made serious headway after that. Manchester United is not some special, unique case. We’re a football club like the rest of them.

Liverpool hooked Rodgers about this time four years ago for much less, and brought in Klopp. Southampton dumped Adkins despite the fact he wasn’t doing too terribly at the time and they brought in Pochettino.

Heck we binned Jose and brought in OGS and had a good 3 months... Our mistake was jumping the gun and making it permanent.

The scary thing is we have spent around 900 million since fergie left and that's the shit we are left with . I'm not even sure sacking Ole would do anything . If we had a DOF and a proper football team behind the scenes then yeah maybe but my fear is we sack Ole bring whoever else in and we head down another road of signing crap players ..

This club won't change until them Amercian parasites leave ... They have ran us into the ground our stadium when they took over was one of the best in the world but it's slowly becoming a shit hole just like the team is shit ..

Feck it. Get mckenna in until the end of the season.

Put the u18s in with the exception of the back 4 and a few seniors.

XI: De Gea, Wan Bissaka/Laird, Maguire, Tuanzebe, Shaw/Williams, Mctominay/Mejbri, Garner, Pogba, James, Martial/Greenwood, Elanga.

Not being serious.

How the poll results are so close is ridiculous. Couldn't be that many opposition supporters on here.

I don't know if he's the long term solution, but he could come in a stabilise us. Finish the season and look who's available.
I'm so desperate right now, I'd take Brendan Rodgers :nervous:

As you originally posted give him caretaker ‘till the end of season ...then take it from there. Unlikely but I’d love to see it happen ...he’s lightyears ahead of Ole.

Not sure about Brendan though

So im'a come clean here and say I was 100% 'team Ole' until this last week or so.

The resurgence under him last year was the best I've felt watching our club for years, made sweeter by the antagonism I felt for Jose before during and after he made a mockery of us while sitting in the managers chair. Could never stand the guy.

I liked his moves in the summer and although our squad was obviously really thin, I felt like the kids would come good under his management and get us through to the next stage of a well-structured rebuild.

But blimey was I wrong. We have no discernable style of play. Morale and confidence seems to be shot. Looking at our travelling squad today was such a reality check - Worse than many of Fergies Carling cup squads back in the day, shocking.

And to top it all off , Oles post match interviews. Can we not have a whiff of a straight answer ?The false positivity is beginning to grate.

I don't know where to go from here but can't see him turning this mess around. Truthfully,Until Woodward is replaced by somebody who has a clue, I don't think anybody will be able to.

Rough times.

Just fired up Fifa 20 career mode and looked at our team. It really gets across how shit it is. Amazing that that is what we have right now after everything.

I want the new manager to be an excellent coach, have an attacking philosophy and to acknowledge the importance of balance.
Example: Mane - Firmino - Salah is perfectly balanced. James - Rashford - Pereira is perfectly shit.

I genuinely feel sad for Ole. He should have never been left in this ridiculous position by the moron Ed and his team. Unfortunately we are being pulled into a relegation battle and for that reason he needs to go.

Kovac is of course a far, far better manager than Ole. Maybe he's not an elite manager like Conte, Klopp or Pep etc but he's years ahead of Ole. Ole is a nothing manager. Most managers are better than him.

Still in team 'keep' but granted our form is worrying. Lets see if results improve with the French connection back..

I watched him all my life. He is basically kick and run manager like Ole. The tactics are the same, only and that is also a big thing he doesn't take shit from players.

But, in tactical sense, belive me, not far away. Kovac would look absolutely the same here.

I never said he's actually a great or even good manager, but the standards Ole set is extremely low that any other manager can be better than him.

How is the poll 47% keep
Will go down drastically in 2 weeks. Then probably rise again three weeks later if we beat Norwich as people will believe we’ve turned a corner.

Best decision the board can make. Is sack him tomorrow morning and try to get Wenger until the end of the season or Allegri on 2 year deal.

The two week break can work to our advantage or not.

Yeah, know what you mean. Only thing is that I think a whole bunch of other managers would also look lost here.

I mean, who ffs took a look at this squad at the start and said, yeah it's good enough to go into the season? No words, all together.

We’d get relegated ffs. I’d only take relegation if it meant Glazers, Woodward and co all fecked off.

I’m all for sacking him but Ed Woodward needs to go to otherwise we will be back to square one. Woody is as much use as a chocolate teapot in footballing decisions.

The squad is crap and I pretty much slaughter most of it, but Ole is also tactically terrible, and even as crap as this squad, I don't think we should be 12th with 2 points far from relegation zone. We should be around 7th or so.

Same last week. Keep and ride it out. Form will get better when the likes of Martial, Pogba and Shaw return.

That doesn’t mean to say I’m not alarmed by our current form. But for as long as we field midtable players then we’ll continue to play like a midtable team.

Fred, McTominay, James, Mata, Pereira and Rashford.

That front six is bottom half material. Genuinely.
