Di Maria's angel
Captain of Moanchester United
So our net spend is the reason why we're hovering above the relegation zone?Ole just spent £150m? It nearly ended up a neutral spend if you include Fellaini leaving also.

Then he shouldn't keep coming out with how happy he is with that situation. It comes across as him wanting to keep his job rather than welfare of the club.Ole just spent £150m? It nearly ended up a neutral spend if you include Fellaini leaving also.
Do you want him to say publicly we’re shit and going to get relegated? Then he shouldn't keep coming out with how happy he is with that situation. It comes across as him wanting to keep his job rather than welfare of the club.
Many reasons why we are where we are, I was just answering someone’s argument that Ole has spent £150m without mentioning how much he has brought in.So our net spend is the reason why we're hovering above the relegation zone?
So us being relegated is Ole's surprise for United fans. Not that I think we will be. He said some of these players were shit last season, but now they are the bees knees. He wasn't talking about Fellaini as he had already gone, Darmian never played anyway, he wanted to keep Herrera. So it appears everything was Lukaku's fault.Do you want him to say publicly we’re shit and going to get relegated?
How does that work?Ole just spent £150m? It nearly ended up a neutral spend if you include Fellaini leaving also.
The sale of players, it’s not rocket science pal.How does that work?
Well it probably is not but neither is maths to a 100. You do realise that the only decent fee we've gotten this transfer window was for Lukaku and it was less than what we've spent on Maguire, right? I doubt that if we add fee for Darmian and loan fees for Smalling and Sanchez (if there is any), we'll be able to surpass Maguire's fee. Maybe when we add Fellaini's fee, sure, but then we're yet to cover AWB and James' fees. The sale of players, it’s not rocket science pal.
I did say nearly, not actually neutral. There is also the wages saved on the likes of Herrera and Sanchez.Well it probably is not but neither is maths to a 100. Ya we’ll definitely get relegated. This time next season it'll be "as long as we make the play-offs, he should stay another year".
Yeah its not as if we have 5 wins in our last 21 games.Ya we’ll definitely get relegated.
This type of self-righteous comment infuriates me. NO WE ARE NOT. We are just a football team like they are. Difference is they have standards and accountability and will not put up with any bullshit like 'The United Way and we give managers time' rubbish. Guess why they have been more successful than us at least since Fergie left? Cos u know you can't be a shit manager and survive there. Only Fergie used to paper over the cracks. As long as we keep thinking we are 'better than that' as far as sliding into mediocrity is concerned, we are not catching up with the big boys anytime soon.Doubt you will find any top club getting rid of 10 players in one window - its just not practical, dont forget we already lost Herrera and Fellaini before the window opened. That kind of major surgery has to be done over 2-3 windows minimum.
Neither are clubs that we want to copy, we are better than that - although Chelsea this season are actually following a worthy blueprint for the first time with focus on youth but that's an anomaly in their usual way
I didn’t realise we have played 21 league games.Yeah its not as if we have 5 wins in our last 21 games.
Did anyone say we did?I didn’t realise we have played 21 league games.
Correct me if I’m wrong but you mentioned relegation and I think relegation is based off the full season not your last 21 games (which you also mentioned ) which includes domestic cup and European which doesn’t come into play in domestic league.Did anyone say we did?
I see what you say, but there is a difference in seeing good signs and good play. I won’t speak for him on this, but to me, I saw several signs of promising attacking play in preseason, against Chelsea and also the next few games. I saw some good attacking play. The last four or five games, barring the first twenty minutes against Astana, I’ve seen very few good signs, and no good play. You didn't understand my point. His point is that player quality is the reason for our crap attack. I accept that. Then how is he also saying that we're showing good signs in attack (Ole's vision for the team), if by his own admission, the attack is poor due to players? How can he judge something being good when he also states it's bad? It's a contradiction.
There is no evidence of our attack showing progress.
Jesus mate. You hate Ole, we get it, but that bolded part is not opinion, its flat out a lie. Sanchez is simply done at the top level, same with Valencia, Smalling had been here for years and have always been mediocre, Darmian was dreadful and Lukaku, while admittedly a decent goalscorer was overweight, unmotivated and unprofessional and Fellaini was mostly elbows and nasty challenges.van Gaal took over a squad that finished 7th - a huge shock to everyone involved with the club. He bought Blind, Herrera, Rojo and di Maria (+Falcao loan) and finished 4th - and had it not been for the garbage form ( 3 or 4 games) at the end of the season, we'd have finished 2nd. Ole just spent £150m after having inherited a squad that finished 2nd and made it to the FA cup final - got rid of some of the most important contributors over the last 6 years and now has us below the following:
Leicester
Palace
West Ham
Burnley
Bournemouth
Wolves
Everton
Villa
and = to Sheffield United and Brighton.
We are closer to the relegation zone than top 4.
Last year Jose was literally sabotaging the club and he was still able to get us to win games and score goals.
Ole is gone mate. Deluded to the point where he really believes in what he is saying but it is bull shit. The players are giving everything... Really? He was happy with the summer transfer window? Ye... We have a good culture.... The players are working towards something.. The only thing i see our players working towards is the Championship. So us being relegated is Ole's surprise for United fans. Not that I think we will be. Ole may have caused the problem himself with that comment from last season, there are players who know he doesn't want them and he is having to play them. I think lack of confidence will not be helping, most will be giving everything, but they are rushing chances when we do get them. He has gone from bad cop at the end of last season to ultra optimistic.Ole is gone mate. Deluded to the point where he really believes in what he is saying but it is bull shit. Either way, it's shit...or a reason to wake up and smell the coffee.Correct me if I’m wrong but you mentioned relegation and I think relegation is based off the full season not your last 21 games (which you also mentioned ) which includes domestic cup and European which doesn’t come into play in domestic league.
You ever heard of the word "form"? Regardless of the differing competitions, we've displayed relegation form across all our games. You want to exclude non-league games? Go ahead. You want to look at this season? Sure, why not - we're 1 fecking point from the relegation zone. Two weeks ago, we were beaten by a team that will most likely be playing in the championship next season.Correct me if I’m wrong but you mentioned relegation and I think relegation is based off the full season not your last 21 games (which you also mentioned ) which includes domestic cup and European which doesn’t come into play in domestic league.
But, but, but, we're better than that! You ever heard of the word "form"? Regardless of the differing competitions, we've displayed relegation form across all our games. In the face of many disgusting insults it’s easy to defend him.It seems that Ole’s ardent supporters are becoming as deluded as the cult of a Mourinho fans were last year.
If people were calling him a gremlin faced cnut or something like that I’d agree with you. But all I see is people calling him a shit manager that’s massively out of his depth. In the face of many disgusting insults it’s easy to defend him.
Don’t mind anyone saying their opinion but some have crossed the line and should be ashamed of themselves. The guy what scored the goal to clinch the treble being called a shithouse and worse by united fans on a united forum. Disgraceful. If people were calling him a gremlin faced cnut or something like that I’d agree with you. But all I see is people calling him a shit manager that’s massively out of his depth.
That’s not an insult, that’s facts.
Ole's task is keeping these players onside, they are at the moment. If results keep on as they are we all know what they can be like. A good result today will help him no end.Don’t mind anyone saying their opinion but some have crossed the line and should be ashamed of themselves. Win today and we’re 5 points off top 4, but hey you’re a glass half empty kind of guy.You ever heard of the word "form"? Stranger things have happened.Win today and we’re 5 points off top 4, but hey you’re a glass half empty kind of guy.
Get on betfair and lay United. You could offer two or three times better odds on us winning than anyone else so people will snap your hands off, all while it still being an amazing opportunity in your mind as we'll actually be about 100 times less likely than that to win.Stranger things have happened.
But come on, in my mind there's literally 0.01% chance of that happening. I think if we played them 1000 times we'd lose 900 and draw 99.
Very sad to me that you think there is no difference between the 'nouveau riche' like Chelsea, the circus at Real and our own historic club - like I said, I do not want our club to becoming anything like those clubs. There are clubs we can learn from though, Barca and Bayern for exampleThis type of self-righteous comment infuriates me. NO WE ARE NOT. We are just a football team like they are. They sure don't tolerate mediocrity and that is what we do in abundance. That was my whole point. No doubting the fact that we are more prestigious but they are more ambitious currently than we are. Look at Sarri for instance, if he was our coach, you would have people clamouring that he is so good and we shouldn't let go but Chelsea didn't find him a good fit and I bet you if Lampard does not show tangible progression on the pitch, they would fire him too like they did Di Matteo. None of the club legend and Chelsea way thing which is a religion for some on here.Very sad to me that you think there is no difference between the 'nouveau riche' like Chelsea, the circus at Real and our own historic club - like I said, I do not want our club to becoming anything like those clubs. You wouldn’t last long in the gambling industry.Stranger things have happened.

this kind of crap belongs in the Matchday thread - today's performance will buy Ole more time so get behind the team instead of moaning!Just look at his lineup for today, absolutely shocking lack of quality despite millions already spent. Ole is way out of his depth here, regardless of whether more blame is to be placed on Woodward or the Glazers this simply can't go on. This is the man we want to back? Give him more time? No... Get a real manager in, please.
There is no Chelsea way of things or if there is then it is firing managers regularly - firing managers regularly is not any kind of sign of ambition. They sure don't tolerate mediocrity and that is what we do in abundance. Agreed, I would love to post it in there but as I need likes on my comments I fear that will be a long time yetthis kind of crap belongs in the Matchday thread - today's performance will buy Ole more time so get behind the team instead of moaning!
