I'm working on changing the thread lists (homepage, forum index) to look like this on mobile.

Still a work in progress but better or not?
Yep that looks good and easy to navigate- if you can switch forums at the top, that would be grand.

Btw great move making the sticky and normal thread headers much more distinct in black. Much better as they were hard to tell apart before, thanks.

And no I didn't mean that, I just mean .. what are the great new features? Xenforo gave great new features like alerts but I'm not seeing any of Xenforo 2 that makes me go "oh yeah this was worth the upgrade and massive adjustment in getting used to!" but tbf that's probably a lot to expect with an update vs an entirely new engine.
The new features aren't quite so in your face as last time round. Bookmarks to save individual posts, better formatting for tables and having a reply box where the autocorrect doesn't continually mess up the format/spelling are probably the most visible.

I guess there are other things going on under the hood, and the fact we were using a version XF that was no longer getting updates as browsers/media change have to factor in as well.

But yeah, at the moment the mobile version looks/feels rather clunky and I'm finding some things like quoting/replying to part of a post just about impossible. It's really early days though, and the XF1 version contained years of tuning and customisation, whereas we're only a couple of days into this one.

I'm not sure what the NEW tag on posts is for though, nor the filters toolbar on forum pages. They just look like clutter to me, but maybe some people use them. Which I guess is Niall's dilemma, we're all used to how we each used the old site, so we miss our stuff and don't see the point of other people's....

yes multi-quote is broken (has been for a while actually) but will be fixing.

I dunno, I just found XF1 immediately beneficial and better than vBulletin, I don't recall at the time being frustrated with the layout like I am now. I do appreciate the fact that efforts are being made to sort it, though, but even little fixes I don't think will solve the fact that, on mobile at least, it's actually a less user friendly experience than the XF1 site. It just seems to take more button clicks to do certain things which is always a no-no with site upgrades!

I guess the lack of updates on XF1 is a big thing though so I can definitely understand it, and I'm sure over time it will become much better. Like I said, the desktop site is great, but sadly, not many people actually use desktop that much anymore!

I don't think "in your face" is a bad thing with buttons and features though, I'd prefer it to be big and visible rather than annoyingly small. I still think the edit and quote buttons should be much bigger and less... light grey, for starters.

Oh and I am very happy about the new edit box that doesn't continuously cock up my GBoard, that's probably the best feature so far!

Random one (that may have already been answered) but is there a reason - on the Members Online list - why some people are in red and some are in grey? Random and totally inconsequential, but i'm curious...
Modmin feature. Those with grey are set to not appear online to the general public. Was the same on Xenforo 1.

Clicking on the match day thread is pathetic on the phone (safari iPhone). Always takes you to the top of the page instead of first unread or last post.

Maybe it's my old man eyesight, but I don't find the alert notification/symbols that visible on either mobile or full site. Both seem to sort of blend in to the red background.

It is working fine in Chrome. Just checked, it is navigating to first unread post in the thread.

Just another minor feedback.

Its not very easy to differentiate between threads you have read and those you havent.

The color and boldness difference is very less and most times I have had to double check

Yep, another one that is basically just a theme problem. Also, the space between convo and notification is so small it's easy to click wrong at times, even on big display.

Really minor, polls are sort of stickied at the top of each page, so every time there's a new page in such as the general election thread you have to scroll past the poll again.

If only there were some democratic way we could decide if this is a good idea.

I think the issue here is that you're not getting alerts because nobody likes you.

You guys are having issues on chrome too?

For me it's working fine, when I click on thread title, it loads the page and half a second lands in first post in the page and then navigates to first unread post.

Yea for me it just goes to the top of the last page if I hit the timestamp for the last post, rather than jumping to that post.

If I just hit the thread title it goes to the top of the last page I had seen in there.

If I click alerts or links to other posts it goes to the top of the page those posts appear on.

This is all only on the match threads.

I also just got no notification for you quoting me here until I clicked on the little bell after seeing the post and then it showed up.
I checked in iOS and there is issue for iOS. I clicked on time stamp and it took me to last page rather than last post. Also I didn’t get alerts when I was browsing in iOS chrome but works well in Android phone.

Alerts is inconsistent, sometimes I get notification, sometimes I don’t in iPhone chrome but in android chrome it’s working well.

I haven't gone back though 600 posts to see if it has been asked before, but I was wondering how difficult it would be to able to download pics direct from your phone, rather than using a hosting site?
If it's already on your phone why on earth do you want to download it?

Multi-quote and search should now be fully working. Please let me know if you still run into issues with either.

Latest changes make it far easier to view and navigate through the homepage/thread lists. Less cluttered feel to it now with the name of the last poster removed and thread page numbers and a link to the last post instead.

Great work.
