Mourinho should have stuck with Rashford and Martial..and bought a right wing..and midfield.. instead of buying mercenaries like Sanchez,Lukaku ,Ibra which ultimately led to his firing..

Overrated Englishman.

(says the anti-English brigade on the Caf).

fantastic for a while now, did well to step up from a hefty challenge to take the pen.

One more goal vs top 6, good play to win penalty but that shot that hit the bar was just excellent. Ronaldinhoesque.

Harsh to call Lukaku a mercenary tbh.

He's starting his own legacy with that number. He patiently waited for Rooney and Zlatan and it's the number that is the face of the club. Mourinho said it's the number he always wanted and if it helps him long may he have that shirt.
Fair play to him if he wants the 10 and has waited all that time for it.

At this rate he might surpass Sterling soon. Phenomenal first half.

Ran his socks off and a superb team player performance. He gives his heart in every game.

His finishing in first half cost us though, as we should realistically been more than 0-2 up at half time. But I cant complain too much about it, and just hope his finishing gradually improves over next 24 months.

Playing at Eden Hazard levels. Right now he's performing as well as anyone in England.

He's in ridiculous form right now. Ridiculous talent.

Great performance 9/10 just for that one chance he missed. If he scored the one that hit the bar I would have wet myself.

Forget his goals, his passing has been so good. He is picking the passes like a proper playmaker.

The shot of the crossbar was a sensational piece of technique. He looks to have taken a step up in his game & his record versus the “Top6” is outstanding.

Looking forward to watching him get better & better, cause I feel a major increase in output is pending.

Just re-emphasizing it again, how freaking young he still is and just how good he is.

He genuinely look like he was training hard and being properly coached.

It's his show now.

Seems his bad patch was him growing into his body more, what an amazing step up

Look at his pace and drive to get to goal scoring position. This is excellent.

He’s electric right now. Maybe needs a little better finishing at times but he is on one at the moment. Do feel he maybe could have done a bit better tracking back at times. Maybe it was by instruction but seemed to me to be really Struggiling with the pace form around the 70th minute.

Went in to energy saving mode and you could see after every run how much of a slog it was for him to get back in, Spurs game and this clearly taking its toll.

He's finally able to carry our attack. So many wasted chances, but he creates more chances also. Incredible performances in the last two big games.

It’s nice to have someone who signs a massive new contract and actually starts to work for those wages.

Lukaku made sense at the time. Remove biased hindsight from the equation and he was a perfectly reasonable signing. He was 24 and came from Everton, having shown a lot of promise. Placing him alongside Sanchez and Ibrahimovic is silly. Turns out it didn't work for him here, but he wasn't some mercenary on the last legs of his career looking for an easy paycheque. Most people were delighted when we signed him, he was hailed as the 20+ goals per season striker that we needed. He just didn't deliver is all, like 75% of all signings at any given club.

It was excellent. Shame about the finish. If he could iron that out, oh boy.

He's turned the corner lately. He's become our best player and one of the best players in the league.

Arguably our most important attacking player at the moment. I really hope this form keeps up for the rest of the season. He seems to be invigorating the rest of the squad now as well an it's important for him to keep the form up so the rest follow suit.

He’s been excellent lately - has he kicked on and reached another level?

He’s so good on the left.
