I have not had a cigarette in five years and are seriously tempted now to have one.

Watford, the poorest team in the league and we lose two nil. Jesus wept.
Oh man! :( I feel you. It was soul crushing. Will take a while to heal. If United is going to continue to be such trash, I am not sure what I am going to do. Watching this is too painful, and I dont care for football without them. May take a break from football altogether. That sounds horrible, too, however

Also this ups and downs nonesense. The only up we have is when we play against the top 5 plus Leicester. Ole is buying himself more time, Woodward knows nothing about football and happily accepts. Ole will not get sacked and he will be here until the end of the season at the least. We will finish between 8 and 10, Ole is a small time thinker.

De Gea - I mean, you've literally chucked the ball into your own net. It's like all of our defensive players watch back the stupidity from the previous game then think "I'm not having him outdo me"

Bissaka - He's not been the same since someone stole the top half of his head.
Lindelof - Universal master of the deftly lofted through ball to absolutely fecking no one.
Maguire - What I really want from my centreback is that when we're 2-0 down, he's 70 yards out of position, bafflingly hogging the ball from all his team mates while spinning around three times in a circle and the punting it straight off the pitch. Seriously this guy is an absolute joke. How do none of our coaching staff tell him what an idiot he's being? How do his team mates not constantly want to punch him in the face?
Shaw - Gets booked in nearly every game due to being too lazy (or unfit) to run back...which then also, in every game, creates a problem late on when the opposition break and he can't risk tackling the guy running at him. Amazing that someone with this little game intelligence would probably struggle to make it into our starting 11 of most stupid footballers.

Fred - Only player we had today prior to it being 2-0 who was delivering anything above a solid 2/10.
McTominay - Looks like someone on the Watford team came up and reminded him he was Scottish just before the game kicked off.
Lingard - Next time you're through on goal, maybe try the more routine finishing technique of backflipping over the keeper's head with the ball wedged between your legs and then backheeling it into the goal mid air. Idiot.

Rashford - Theo Walcott called. He wants his footballing ability back
James - Probably time to give him a break, except the alternative is, well, no one. Or Mata, which is like no one except without the partial credit you get for bravely struggling to defeat with only 10 players.
Martial - Is there a reason why he can't play like he did towards the end, you know, all the time? Or at least, slightly more of the time? Or at least, you know, look vaguely like he is trying to?

Pogba - Actually did very well, apart from the stupid dive.
Greenwood - Why bring him on to play on the wing? Yet again by the end I had no idea where any of our forwards were actually meant to be playing.
Mata - The only reason at this point to bring Mata on is to show everyone that you've run out of ideas of things to do but feel like you need to look like you're trying to do something

Man Utd weekly team sessions:
Mistake therapy - A group of first team players get together and go over their mistakes from the previous week, and discuss how they're all going to make sure they don't learn a thing from any of them.
Defensive corner practice - Someone who can't take corners, takes corners, while a group of players who can neither defend nor attack a corner stand in the box watching the ball fly over their heads over and over.
Offensive corner practice - See above, except occasionally one of the defending players will accidentally score and then everyone starts celebrating.
Practice match - The first team squad watch Harry Maguire walking about aimlessly with the ball for half an hour.
Tactics discussion - Ole and the gang use visual diagrams to explain again to Greenwood where to stand when the teams line up for photos before the game.

Not sure if this is on the players or the manager? People talked about players downing tools cause of Jose's, what's the reason cause of Ole? Can't blame it on a Pogs, he's not been around since Sept.

Pains me to say that it should be the last game of Ole, no idea about who we could bring as replacement but he definitely should go.
Pleases me to say that it will normally be the last game for Lingard starting up, no more Pereira also.
Greenwood should have more time to play as a 9 and with Pogba behind him, Rashford on his right he can do really better.
Williams for Shaw as left back also until further notice.

And even with that I think it's obvious that the only possible way to the C1 this year is the Europa League.

Every game against non top 6 teams is the same. We start slow and disinterested. Once the opponent score, we try to rally but unable to to create any thing decent. I just simply cannot understand what Ole tell this team. Maybe he tells them to absorb the pressure for 65-70 mins then we start turning the pressure. Yes, probably what he been telling them. That's why Greenwood is coming on during this period to try to get a result. This happen over and over again. Why can't we play at full speed out of the block? With Greenwood, Mata and Pereira on when we have a good lead. We will be the same shit again in the next few games. Ole out!!!!

That was painful to watch. Too slow and passive in their play. It's just the basic little things that are also letting them down. Players playing the ball behind the man or with no pace on the pass, it slows the game right down and makes it harder for the player receiving the ball.

Lindelof will never be a top CB. He's improved since when he's joined but he's not aggressive enough in his defending and his game is littered with mistakes. Maguire is solid enough but he's not going to transform our defence. Our two full-backs can't attack or create anything from deep. Our two best attackers can only play LF in Martial and Rashford. Pogba has shown what a key player he can be for us. Fred and McTominay work hard and have decent games now and again but are not good enough to be starting for a team like United. Lingard acted like he was on a 10 game scoring streak, so annoying that he tried to finish like that.

Watford played well but we should be beating them. We didn’t have a clue what to do with the ball. That coupled with some shite performances from Fred, wan Bissaka, Lingard, de gea, James, greendwood did it for us today.
How the f does anyone blame Fred? He was our best player behind Pogba. Fred is as everywhere today putting out fires helping defenders etc.

Also: if Shaw was Nigerian people would say he's 45 with a fake passport. He moves that way anyway.
He is carrying a lot of weight and when carrying so much weight, it can be exhausting. We saw this with Lukaku last season when he was huffing and puffing after 10 minutes.
If Shaw lost a stone of body weight, he'll move much better. The problem is that our sports doctors don't seem to understand this. They allowed Lukaku, Rooney and Shaw to get overweight (for football).

All very disappointing. McTominay the worst he's been this season. Amazing how crucial he's become. I'm absolving Fred from blame, I thought he was good. Jesse, though, I mean he has to finish that. If 2 out of 3 of our limited midfielders have an off day, we're going to be doing very well to win anything. Hopefully it'll be rendered moot by Pogba playing and playing well from now on. We gave away nothing all day bar De Gea throwing one in and a stupid pen. Very frustrating.

Can I humbly ask what getting rid of Ole will achieve when clearly it's the inconsistency in the players which is the main problem. How can you blame Ole for that glaring Howler by DDG or the fact that he was the only player on the pitch that didn't know that Deeney puts them down the middle or that incredible miss by Lingard which might have turned the game. Another manager, regardless of how many trophies they've won, will not become expert in polishing turds and we've still got a few in our ranks. January will tell a tale.
Patience brothers.
Is this your first game? We have been this dreadful against lower teams whole season.
Did you watch the first half? We have zero shots on target against a team sitting at the bottom of the league.

This is not about the mistakes. This is about the clueless tactic against the team who just sit back and absorb the attacks which in our case, non-existent. Ole just know one tactic which is to counter attack and it will only work against top teams. He strengthen the defense so we can absorb the attacks and then counter with speed. But he forgot that there are more teams who will do the same to us. We don't have a creative midfield and a proper no 9. Whose fault is that?

Aye, it’s concerning for sure.

Watford deserved to win, let that sink in...
I thought both teams were atrocious, they fouled a lot more, otherwise just a terrible game of football.

Despair.
There was a thread after the City game entitled "When was the last time we dominated a top club like this" which made me rage as we certainly had not dominated City.
Delusion is dangerous.
We are bady led, badly organised, poorly motivated, tactically inept and lacking ambition at the moment.
The buck stops with Olé.

I'm not sure what needs flushed first that team or this website. The mentality is all wrong from top to bottom, throughout the club to under the shoe/redcafe. It's a frustrating time and rivals performing while we are descending, doesn't help!
It's inevitable it's not going to work under Ole but it really matters how fans deal with it. It's a hard cycle and fans need to take it!

They don't need to approve or like it but accept that is where we are. Liverpool fans have been taking it on the chin like a pornstar for 30 years. It's time to accept it's not good enough, support Man United through the tough time and keep going to will we all turn this hard corner.
Clubs are not defined by a year or two, it's a cycle and story. United will rise eventually but it's a mess.
Watford didn't have to try, these results will happen until there is a mentality shift.

Both. We've seen what the players can do during that brilliant run when Ole was took over as interim.

We've never approached anywhere near that level since he got the job.

Romero in for at least 3 or 4 weeks. De Gea needs a break.
Martial should be dropped for Greenwood.
Fred is starting to become a reliable player imo.
AWB, was always going to give one away eventually, he has saved us a lot with the same approach so I can't be hard on him.
Ole, serious question marks and with the manager merry go round in action it could be stick or twist for Poch, come Feb he will probably not be available.

Yeah I just wonder are we seeing in De Gea something similar to what happened in Nov 98 with Schmeichel. If you remember he had an infamous mistake away at Sheff Weds at that time.

I have a horrible feeling that Newcastle really could record their first ever premier league double over us on Thurs, the results in this first half of the season have echoes of autumn 13/14 under Moyes.

Our sloppy play is the main reason we lost. To many losoe passes and poor touches. I'm not sure that's on the coach

Mctominay must have a knock or two, he just is not playing well.

Same for James.

Lingard is just not good enough.

I also think it says something that a player can come back after 2 months and be by far the best player on the pitch. We need more talent.

Especially when we all know it will be the same old shit against a mid table Newcastle. We'll have plenty of the ball and doing naff all with it, while Newcastle score from a break away or set piece. I fancy they'll either do the double over us this season or it'll be a pathetic draw.

So what will sacking Ole do for us? The cycle will continue....
The difference between ole and the other sacked managers, after a bad spell, is that the others were expecting to win the title or at least fight for it. Going in to this season we knew it was going to be tough. We have the youngest squad. Heck spurs with poch and jose are 1 point ahead of us, even though they have a strong squad. Pathetic bunch of supporters. We are beating the top teams. Remember José complaining about teams sitting back against us, and we struggled at that time too. Nothing new. Except we are up for a fight against better teams, and given the circumstances i’d rather take that, than beating the lower teams and lose the big games, given where we are at the moment. And as long as we don’t have the players to break up sitting teams we should have a little patience with Ole.

Manchester United.......the ultimate Robin Hood football club.

We steal from the rich (City, Chelsea, Spurs) and give to the poor (Bournemouth, Watford, Sheffield United)

Teams at the bottom of the table used to hope not to get spanked. Teams at the bottom of the table now expect to get all 3 points against us now.

Absolutely frustrated with this game for sure. We had no style of play, very little urgency (till Pogba came on) and always looked 2nd best to the worst team in the league

DDG - I believe we need to stop kidding ourselves that he is WC keeper. Those days are gone. He always looks to have a mistake in him every game now

Lingard - dont know what else to say about him except he went for one of the hardest type of shots to score. If he had scored, it would have been a different game for sure in my opinion

Pogba -i hope everyone sees just how much better and talented Pogba is compared to the rest of the team. We need to hold on to him unless we have another exceptional talent lined up.

What frustrates me the most is the missed opportunity. Those 3 pts wouldve came a long way for us to get top 4

Who would start ahead of Shaw? What choice does he have at LB, Ashley Young? I could only imagine if Young comes back into the side the moaning on here (and rightly so). The last time Williams played he cost us 2 points.
I personally would go with Young until we buy a proper left back or Luke Shaws body shape resembles a professional footballers.
