We'll have big problems this season if we don't sign a striker by Friday. Greenwood is just not ready to start and Martial is hit and miss

For 23M Euros, wouldn't Alacer be a good back up striker for us? I haven't followed him this season, but last year he was absolutely banging them in I thought.

Chicharito scored his first competitive goal for United with his face, there isn't a player that fits Ole's comment more literally.

Yeah and I dont fecking blame Ole either.
Much as I like Martial he is not that type of forward.
An aggressive forward would suit us like a glove, he's very talented but I'm not so sure Martial has it in him to be that.

go and pay Haaland’s release clause
75 million. Doesn't kick in until 2 seasons from now. By then, there'll be other suitors. Reason he didn't come was the release clause offered to United was 50 million. Unacceptable.

He's supposedly homesick and and sulking because he didn't play a lot after Favre switched to a 343 while he was injured and then the Haaland signing of course. I don't think he'd be interested in swapping a German bench for an English one. And I don't think you move to Villareal for financial reasons or sporting ambitions.

Kicker commit quite clearly to this. Almost always means they have confirmation from the club.

Can’t see us getting a striker before the window shuts, certainly not a first choice one. Would have to be someone in on loan to do a job until the end of the season but left it really late in the day now.

I thought he could have done a job for us. People forget how young he was when he played for Liverpool.

Yeah surely we can find something on loan even if it is just within the premier league because Greenwood is still finding his feet in the team and Martial's form is so up and down you just don't know which player is going to turn up from game to game. My gut feeling is that unless something pops up unexpectedly tomorrow we will have to just see out the time until Rashford returns in the best way we can.
