I just don't know what I would make of Rakitic. £20m is nothing really for a player of his experience and talent, even for 2 seasons maximum....but he's a dick and I'd rather we moved away from this type of signing.

I wouldn't want him to get in the way of a proper long term solution in the summer. But when you look at our midfield options at the moment he could really help us in the short term.
The fee is relatively small, but I expect the wages would be exorbitant. It would also contradict our recent policy of signing players who are still on the up slope of their careers and hungry to succeed.
